didn't realize Bonny Light Horseman is Anais Mitchell, Josh Kaufman (worked with the national, taylor swift, produced Day of the Dead) and Eric Johnson from Fruit Bats.

Could Megan close Which on Sunday with Jason Isbell as the sub to Fred Again..? In 2017 we had Travis Scott close the Which with Lorde as pre-headliner to The Weeknd.
I could see Megan pre headline for Fred Again.. too with Jason Isbell closing the Which, that probably makes more sense.
A lot of reddit seems to hate it and most of you are indifferent. how well does this sell? I'm hoping for another low attendance here
I don’t think this sells noticeably good or bad, just fine. Tickets will probably be available below face, but there won’t be a lot of people buying tickets speculatively so there won’t be a crazy amount available to drive the price real low
random stat but i was perusing the Tiny Desk catalog and Post Malone (12mm) and Fred again..(7.7mm) have the two highest viewed Tiny Desks with releases in the past year. no one else with a release in the last year comes close (tho tbf Olivia Rodrigo likely will surpass both as she's already at 3.7mm views with a release date only 4 weeks ago)

Esteban post if he lived in Connecticut instead of New Orleans
If PL is any other artist I’m out but….its PL so the lineup is graded on a curve this year. Not mad at the lineup, more stuff than last year. Since Covid and rain out; 22,24,23.
Thurs- PL, Eggy, Say She She, Fisher, Neal Francis, BigXthaPlug, Geese.
Sat - Sean Paul, BBNG, Parcels, RHCP, Idles, Brittany Howard
Sunday - Four Tet, Fred, CRJ, GSBG, Meg, Isbell, Yves, Joey
One more above average top 3 artist would have really helped this lineup out. Still other artists not listed I’d like to see and like what I’ve heard so far but that’s the main names for me. I counted 49 names I’d see.
Can’t wait for Pretty Lights on the main stage. I might even pit yall
8/10
Headliners are better this year minus Kendrick

TNjediinfinitypassinsider and whomever else associated directly with roo in some way that this may concern,
I actually dig a lot of the lineup. I'm not mad at it. A couple misses for me, but that's baseball.
But there's one inexcusable problem here. And I hope. I really hope you're just saving the announcement for later. But, as a former emo kid, having Jon Batiste and Thundercat on the farm at the same time and doing an emo superjam is the biggest, most corporate hack, Live Nation esque whiff that Roo has pulled in recent memory.
I'm going. I'm excited about it. But that just hurts my heart man. That would be magic. Pure joy. Straight. Fire. People would talk about that jam for years. I mourn a beautiful moment that may never happen.
There should be riots if those two aren't leading a jazzy funky late night jam.
I'd like to think the roo vets in the room were screaming at the top of their lungs that you couldn't pass that opportunity up while some LN hack blathered on about market research, but we'll never know.

I think the lineup really suffers from some overbillings eating up sub spots.
Cage (4th - 2017 to 2nd) Maggie Rogers (3rd Lolla 2023 to 2nd) Jason Isbell (5th 2020/21 to 3rd) Seven Lions (7th 2021 to 4th) Two Friends (20th Coachella 2023 to 4th) - how the fuck did this happen? Melanie Martinez (7th Lolla Brazil 2023 to 3rd) Cigarettes After Sex (10th Lolla Brazil 2023 to 4th) JRAD (9th 2019 to 5th)
Meg, Diplo, Khruangbin, & CRJ are the only properly billed acts in the 2-5 range and that’s why this lineup is a bit of an eyesore. Replace those 5 acts who shouldn’t be in the top 5 on their day and we’d be really cooking.

This thread is way too sane and businesslike now. We need to find a way to harness the specific brain-worms energy of the week before a lineup drop to enjoy for the rest of the year

Shoutout to the subreddit for rallying around the issue of screens at This and That. It’d be a damn shame to be shut out of Parcels or TMV because you can’t see anything that’s going on on stage
