I caught BADBADNOTGOOD at Midpoint Music Festival several years ago, and they bored me to tears. I’m willing to concede that it may have been the venue, their billing, my mindset, etc., that cause this because it seems I should like them. Where is a good place to dig in to their catalog?

Finally able to dig into this thing for the rest of the night and off work tomorrow 😁 I’m pretty into this tbh. I like RHCP & Cage tho and I know most of yall disagree with that. There’s enough Fri & Sat to keep me happy, Sunday is killer as has been established. Only really know Geese on Thursday so I’m excited to dig around there.
Shoutout to the subreddit for rallying around the issue of screens at This and That. It’d be a damn shame to be shut out of Parcels or TMV because you can’t see anything that’s going on on stage
i can't tell if this lineup is going to sell or not but either way those would be very nice to have back

Check out Say She She. They’re awesome!!! Saw em open for Thee Sacred Souls last year. Funky disco dance party before we all get murdered by GWAR. Then back to a dance party with Pretty Lights.
haha i dont even drink much, but that still annoyed me idk. besides if i did want a beer at some point, wouldnt want to walk all the way there if im not close.
I know what you mean. it is kinda out of the way in no man's land against the perimeter wall. just wanted to make sure that you knew it existed!

This will be a vibe. Thee Sacred Souls last year was so good too

This thread is way too sane and businesslike now. We need to find a way to harness the specific brain-worms energy of the week before a lineup drop to enjoy for the rest of the year
Hello Mr. soul is playing where I’m at. Enough people already said just replace one HL with something. Neil would have changed the lineup from a 3 to a 7. Unfortunately Bohemian Rhapsody just came on after. :/

They have 6 or so albums going back to like 10 or 11. They released one every year or so and then took a break from recording band shit for a few years until like 21 still played I think but focused on other shit. I only saw them once and it was 10 years ago. It was a hip hop show because GFK was rapping over the jazz and hiphop jazz getting them some credit. Ghostface was great that day and so were they. I appreciated a lot of the off time and random downbeat shit. Lots of talent. I can’t tell you what it any of their studio stuff you’d like but it ranges from downbeat to progressive to rap shit. Skim through some of the albums. I got them #2 on my top 10 list so you know I’m ready for that show
just started a clashfinder and am counting 16 non-PL, non-Other acts on Thursday. Might be smoke on the fire that What will be open for more than just PL; more than likely I think it indicates overlap with the tents and PL, otherwise we'd be looking at super short sets or the tents open super early/late compared to usual
This is without any research who I’m excited for. Not including acts I’d check out if there’s no conflicts.
Thursday Pretty Lights GWAR Geese Neal Francis Say She She Militarie Gun
Friday Khruanbin Joe Russo Dominic Fike Interpol TV Girl Gary Clark Jr. The Mars Volta Faye Webster Thundercat Mdou Moctar
Saturday Red Hot Chili Peppers Cage The Elephant Parcels Brittany Howard IDLES BADBADNOTGOOD
Sunday Megan The Stallion Jason Isbell Carly Rae Jepsen Joey Bada$$ Goth Babe Ashnikko
I haven't had a chance to scour the lineup or check out acts I don't know (which is most of the lineup) but your list is probably pretty close to what I'll end up watching. Throw in Bakar, not sure what else.
At first glance, I counted about 20 shows I wouldn't mind seeing and none I'm super excited for, which has never happened with a Bonnaroo lineup. I'll definitely go if my group does but I could honestly take it or leave it and do something else that doesn't require a 1300 mile roundtrip and all the associated hassle. Maybe it's time to check out another big festival instead, like All Good, Mountain Jam, or maybe Wakarusa or Firefly.

Pretty Lights has also been announced to perform a “sunrise set” at the close of the festival on Sunday, June 16. In addition, a press release also states that Bonnaroo 2024 will mark the only festival appearance from Fred Again…

This has to be a bit, ofc you go 4/4 on mentioning failed festivals. Too bad there's no Bonnaroo East coast.

Not sure where they got that information but it makes no sense.
Whoever wrote that article did 0 research, read the sunrise set was underneath Sunday and figured that's the day it was on. Which is not the case at all.
