$435 tickets already for a lineup with lukewarm reception. Camping can get to $200. I just can’t see this selling out.
i bet max they sell 65k.
they'll call it a sell out but my guess is less people than last year but more people than 22. I can't remember general attendance numbers from either of those years so maybe 65k is on the money?

if last year was truly a sell out, then attendance was prob around 80k. 2022 apparently sold less than 2016, so probably around 40k?

yep. according to the Wiki page 22 was 45k and 23 was 85k. So yeah I also think somewhere in the 60k range but on the what podcast from the other day they said most pre-sale tickets ever and they are expecting a quicker sellout than last year so who knows.

They ran out of space for people camping last year and the hulu broadcast said it was 90k+. Everything last year felt ‘at capacity’ No way this year comes close.

my fav tiny desks are car seat headrest, run the jewels, and wu tang clan. the first olivia rodrigo one where she’s in a laundromat is also good. also noname
lmfao. I hightailed it back to camp in 2019. We were right by the water tower, so it was easy in and out. I ran back to Centeroo because there was no escaping Hobo from the camp.
the only thing i heard about the 2019 superjam was someone telling me that hobo johnson showed up and covered folsom prison blues. i felt horrified to hear that

The headliners are better overall than last year. Peppas were good when I saw them in 15 and it's been long enough. PL is better than Odesza and Kendrick for my taste. Fred is the opposite of braindead edm and has the right energy for a Sunday closer imo.
Although the lineup doesn't have a couple wow subs like they normally do, the undercard is much better. Between PL, TMV, Fred and Four Tet, I'm more excited about my top end than I was last years. With good scheduling, Friday has a chance to be better than the Odesza day even with me being indifferent on Post.

22 honestly felt like less than 45K. Even during Stevie Nicks, which was probably the most full show at What, it was easy to get in and out of the crowd and the What field was smaller than normal too.

oh, well if the What Podcast said it, then it must be true!!

That Paramore set felt like 85k people all around. Last year was stuffed everywhere.

although while it was packed, 2023 and 2019 were both sell outs and 2019 definitely felt more crowded

edit: they also play songs from amputechture
Listen to all of this and then forget it because the songs are a completely different thing live.
