The biggest thing to me is just how weird it would be for Doja to headline but play second to last on the main again. That'd be, like, begging for more criticism of the lineup.
Seems to be the sentiment of most in this forum regarding Doja.
If Blur isn’t going to be closing a stage I doubt No Doubt is
That's a bad comp, given No Doubt is effectively on the same level as headliners. I could see them closing a stage, just would be particularly weird if it's after Doja Cat.
Gesa vs Orbital I can’t see conflicting. In a perfect world no conflicts between Jungle, Gesa, and Orbital
The general consensus I believe is that it's less likely for Orbital to be against Tyler or Blur than it would for them to be against Gesaffelstein or Jungle.

The way these set times are someone will die in the Gobi during TBS. You have all these people on a No Doubt high with nothing else for them and no want to camp for Doja. YIKES

Yeah I will have some REALLY tough decisions to make here. I was hoping to see all three. I think I could stand missing Gesa more than the other two, but Orbital will take the cake for me.
Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.

Maybe I'm off on this one, but I don't think TBS would be very packed if put up against acts like Anyma, Renee Rap, and John Summit / Lil Yachty.

I didn’t see John summit. Ok it might be big early then die out lol

I am genuinely curious how big the TBS crowd will be. I really think they're one of those acts where it will entirely depend who is up against them.
Does anyone have any idea if TBS will be playing newer material or are we lucky enough to get Tell all your friends in full. Tbh stopped listening then after that album.

Recent setlist show a decent amount of newer tracks, S'Old also got a lot of DJ remixes, I'd say about 70% old (first 3 albums) and 30% new is a good guess.
Re: all the comments about second liners and the Gobi, there are like 10 second liners per day. On last year's poster the last 3 or so would have been on the third line. Off the top of my head, Tobe Nwigwe, Yves Tumor, Garden, Chromeo, 2manydjs, a lot of third liners played the Gobi. A few tail end of second liners in teh Gobi is not the end of the world. On another note how crazy overbilled were Yves/Garden at Coachella last year when compared to Roo this year.

I checked out yves W1 and was shocked how empty it was. But then again they were against blink which the entire festival went to

Yves always seems to be just missing the cut for me for one reason or another. W2 didn't have the Blink issue, but I had to find SOME time to eat before the gauntlet of Blondie -> Gorillaz -> Chems so I missed it. Hopefully one of these days soon.

Throw in half of blink in front of that and the close of Metro at the end and god damn that was such all time night of music.

I would be rather upset if half of Young Fathers and Last Dinner Party overlap. I suppose no reason in particular they couldn't, aside from both being hip british indie bands, but those are my #2 and #3 of Saturday after Blur right now.
I haven't listened to young fathers yet- that one slipped through the cracks somehow. I will have to check them out bc I like the last dinner party quiet a bit.

I'm quite obsessed with their album from last year, Heavy Heavy. It's got, at various points, hints of everything from TV on the Radio to Arcade Fire to LCD Soundsystem to Graceland-era Paul Simon, but it's its own thing. Their live shows look nuts as well.

Young Fathers on the main might be right, they played (opened, if I remember) main stage at Portola. But I also feel like Raye in the Mojave is not happening, I think she could easily open the main. Escapism was huge.
I know it's not this board's taste but L'imperatrice or skepta (shitty conflict but whatever) --> a very light dinner break --> Everything Always --> Gorgon City --> Justice --> Anti Up would pretty much guarantee I will be letting the serotonin out to pasture on Friday night, which is not the night I wanted to do that but that would just be too good to be true (and shout out to the Safari golf carts for making that stage hopping happen lmao). Not all of those acts are my must sees for the weekend but I have not had such a crazy fun dance run while not having to miss another must see in forever at Coachella, I always have a mellow act in the mix that would kill that run.

Yeah not to mention having Neil Frances and Brittany Howard as a warmup, that stretch on Friday is going to do crazy things to my body.

Makes sense. Moved Raye to the Main and Young Fathers to the Mojave.
Oh and one other thing, I swear to God I saw this yesterday either here or on Reddit, but there was just a big interview with Sublime where they mentioned Coachella and apparently people said they confirmed main stage.
Sublime --> Blur --> Tyler on the main sounds like an OK run and nobody is going to object to Bleachers on the outdoor, but you might want to try to track that interview down because I might be talking out of my ass and I'm too lazy to search for it.
I was all ready to complain about JJUUJJUU vs Mdou Moctar like I previously did with Khruangbin vs Mdou Moctar, but then I didn't really see a constructive suggestion to avoid any of {JJUUJJUU, Mdou Moctar, Hermanos Gutiérrez, Khruangbin} from conflicting in any capacity. My heart wants to set up a perfect early Sunday run of psychedelic guitar music but hard to see how you can fit all four of those bands in a plausible sequence with no overlap.
