Oh and one other thing, I swear to God I saw this yesterday either here or on Reddit, but there was just a big interview with Sublime where they mentioned Coachella and apparently people said they confirmed main stage.
Sublime --> Blur --> Tyler on the main sounds like an OK run and nobody is going to object to Bleachers on the outdoor, but you might want to try to track that interview down because I might be talking out of my ass and I'm too lazy to search for it.
I found and listened to the interview....I must have missed something (granted I was listening at 2x speed while doing work) but I didn't catch anything about the Main Stage while they were talking about Coachella.

Then everybody who said they confirmed main stage was just being a bozo, and I am the even bigger bozo for spreading that rumor. Or maybe I'm the interviewer just trying to stealth promote my work. You'll never know.

This is sadly the least attention I've paid/least I've contributed to set time predictions, but now that you mention it, definitely Sublime on the main over Bleachers. They're billed for it, they're a "reunion," and regardless of how excited people are for them (I don't think even Sublime fans are all that stoked, from my time lurking their subreddit to check), they're a way way bigger name than Bleachers and will attract plenty of curious people aside from their fans. Shit, based on billing, I'd put Jungle on the main over Bleachers as well, but Sublime seems more obvious. Would be quite strange to skip the 3-7 billed acts and jump straight to 8th. In a normal poster design, Bleachers would be the last name on the 2nd line.

Regarding billing (which tends to be what we go by anyway), you're right. I just have a feeling Bleachers is going to draw a much bigger Coachella crowd than Sublime will.

Saturday's second line is full of acts I look at and question how big their crowd will be (including Bleachers, if I'm being honest), aside from a probably pretty huge but bored crowd at Ice Spice and a probably pretty huge crowd at Dom Dolla. But people are gonna have to go somewhere!

Dom Dolla crowd will be EEEEEEEnormous. Hah you are right re: big but bored for Ice Spice. ISOKnock might outdraw most of the second line tbh. They sold out a ton of nights at the Shrine no?

I could see ISOKnock, PDM, and maybe Charlotte DeWitt outdrawing most of the 2nd line tbh. There just really aren't that many acts on that day I look at and think "that crowd will be insane" (though there are a ton of acts I want to see).
I imagine Sublime will pull a huge crowd despite the lack of "hype", and agree they should be on main stage. people who do no research / aren't chronically online will look at the schedule and see Sublime playing against like, thuy or the Red Pears or RAYE or whoever and they'll want to see Santeria. The only acts I could see realistically drawing against them would be either PDM or ISOKnock in the Sahara at the same time, and even still those acts aren't gonna appeal to the people who don't care much for electronic music.
This early Neil Frances slot doesn’t sit right with me. Feel like maybe closer to FKJ or Chromeo slots of recent. First on main stage is just a weird vibe for him

The interviewer mentioned it, asking something like "did you think Sublime would be on the Coachella main stage" or something to that effect. Not sure if it's really a confirmation though, he may have just been assuming.
i have zero desire to see Sublime or Bleachers but if I had to choose I would definitely take Bleachers instead. I’ll be camping for Blur and Tyler so i’m def posting up for whoevers 3rd to last on main

How is everyone feeling about the crowd for Justice? Do we think everyone that watches Everything Always will stay for Justice? Really hoping it’s not mad house at the outdoor on Friday night.

It won't be like Fisher + Lake was last year, but not as empty as Chem Bros. I think if you go to the right side you should be fine

Obviously don't know how the set times are going to stagger but the younger crowd is going to bounce to Uzi Vert if he's on later than EA. And Justice never had the type of mainstream hits (or recency, really) that led to that giant Disclosure outdoor crowd in 2022. I think it'll be sizable, don't get me wrong, but not a madhouse.

Right side is the way to go. I am just hoping for a good spot with a good crowd

This is evidently not a universal take, but in my own experience Justice 2017 (W1) was significantly more crowded than Disclosure 2022 (W2). That said: one was W1 while the other was W2, we were coming from Indio Central Market for Disclosure vs the beer garden between main/outdoor for Justice which probably makes a difference; and 2017 was like a lifetime ago, and I've done plenty of damage to my brain in the interim, so I could be mis-remembering.

I attended both those sets and did not feel that way at all. Disclosure was insane (right side was better but still crazy). Justice was huge but got less and less as it went on and people left for Kendrick.

So funny. I remember walking up to a good spot for Justice 2017 W1...granted not like, crazy close (although I am always floored how easy it is to get crazy close as long as you go down the right side) but we weren't in BFE either. I wasn't there for 2022 but everybody I know that went said Disclosure had the biggest crowd they had ever seen at the outdoor.
Personal "biggest crowds at the outdoor" I've been a part of were Chromeo 2011, Billie 2019, Wu Tang 2013, probably Disclosure 2014 but we were on the ADA platform for that.

Maybe having toured so much with Rome has weakened interest, but I feel like Sublime having been so perpetually on SoCal rock radio and just generally so ubiquitously well known will pull in a very large amount of people who don't know what else to do at that time, especially if they aren't up against any major name like the current mock. Bleachers does have some pull but they've never really struck me as an act with a particularly large or dedicated fanbase, and they aren't the sort of name that will get a lot of default attendance the way Sublime will. I wouldn't be willing to bet on it though.

IsoKnock v Orbital v Brutalismus v Jungle is a uniquely unfortunate conflict for me that hopefully doesn't happen. Or at least split into 2 separate conflicts lol.
Also is it just me or did we have way more stage confirmations by this times last year?

Can we just have orbital close stage against Tyler or give them. 9:40-10:30 time slot

I might be wrong here, but I think aside from Lana (who will have all the Swifties at her set anyway), Bleachers will absolutely draw the biggest "IS TAYLOR SHOWING UP FOR THIS??" crowd that I feel like we might be underestimating.

This will be my 17th Coachella, someone fill me in on this bleachers hype. What am I missing?

I think of all the scenarios, Orbital playing against the headliner is probably the least likely, and would probably result in them having the smallest crowd.

Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift's current producer) is Bleachers. Walked by their Mojave set the last time they played (which I believe was before he was producing for Taylor) and it was fucking P A C K E D.

Should have googled that before my post. Makes sense, but do we really think Taylor is gracing the fields and if she does I just see her and Travis on stage drinking. Go Chiefs!

No, I don't think she shows up....but that's not going to stop her fans from believing she will.
