Grimes (electronic pop) is one of the coolest artists out there with one of the best songs of the 2010s (#2 according to Pitchfork). Hopefully this means new music is on the way and she’s not performing just a DJ set. Despite her & E*on M*sk, she’s a great performer and has some really unique tracks
Almost certain she’ll be djing. She hasn’t had a grimes billed non dj performance in about a decade. Also expect her to do live vocals with anyma
That's the thing, she's always been billed as "Grimes (DJ Set)" for the last decade, but this time she isn't. It's a pretty strong indication (though not guarantee) that she's starting full live performances again.
Haven't seen much mention of upchuck anywhere, but they're really good. High energy and super fun catchy riffs gonna be one of those high octane sets for the weekend, one of my favorite artists i've found in the undercard!

Let's bring this back to life. Barry Can't Swim is the moniker of Scottish producer Joshua Mannie. He offers warm, uplifting, emotional, and hugely danceable tunes to get down to, with hints of jazz, world music, and Fred Again type beats. He's officially bringing his live show to Coachella, which he's only done a handful of times in the UK and looks like an absolute blast. If you enjoyed Todd Terje and the Olsens or Fred Again.., you'll enjoy this. First couple videos are what we're getting.

Okay I'll say it: it's time for a Coachella cum leak, even if its just a dribble. GV can only give us blue balls so many times before someone blows a load so messy that it scrambles the lineup placements.

Maybe I have missed it (wouldn't be the first time) but I haven't seen any love for Charlotte de Witte. I am only about a quarter into this set but I am digging it.

Everyone by now has heard the Pineapple Kryptonite remix all over tiktok the last year, they have some banger songs once you listen a few times it hooks you. Also their choreo is insane and I'd be gassed if I tried that while singing for 40+ minutes lol.
Going through this thread - can someone link this "Pineapple Kryptonite remix" that everyone except me has apparently heard? I don't trust my Google skills on this

... Georgia Ellery of Jockstrap is in this band and she doesn't always tour with them because Jockstrap is her main gig, but since Jockstrap is at Coachella, she'll be there! ...
Speaking of Jockstrap, I'm really excited to see them on the lineup. One of the most interesting indie/electro-pop acts I've heard in a while. Their "I Love You Jennifer B" album in 2022 was one of my favorites of that year. They bounce between so many different styles & genres that it’s difficult to categorize their sound. They're experimental, weird, eclectic, yet generally showcase pretty exceptional songwriting and musicianship.
And sorry to double post, but this video is no longer available. Someone post another Jockstrap song (besides "Greatest Hits")
