Ohio, Kentucky or Tennessee. Which state is the best to stock up on beer and booze? Let's use a case of Miller Lite and a fifth of Absolute as our yard sticks. In addition to price, does the state have a bottle deposit? For example, in Michigan a case with tax and deposit is about $18.50 and the booze would be $22.50? While we're at it how about gas and smokes? Here- $2.85/gal and $5.00/pack.
I can give you prices for Ohio since I work at a Wine Store:
Miller Lite 15.99 before tax Absolut is about 20.00 Gas right now in Dayton, OH is 2.69 for regular unleaded Cigarettes are 3.69 or around there for Marlboro or Camel.
I always buy our beer here, but what a great idea and post.....If I can save a few bucks on the way why not buy that way.....Also dont forget to watch the glass bottles....hate to see you buy a bottle of booze and have it taken....make sure you hide all your glass bottles
i love the south for the cheap smokes, about half the price of the east coast, but i could find no american spirits anywhere, amd i looked hard, but enjoyed the 20 dollar p-funk carton instead.
last year american spirits had an air conditioned tent. you could get a free pack of smokes every time you went in there. you just had to sign up on a form they had. then sit on the couches and smoke in air conditioning, but it was always packed!
I'm coming from Pa so if your traveling through here you can usually find ALOT of deals at the beer distributors for $11.99-$13.99 30 packs of Yeungling, Coors, Miller and sometimes others.
