Don't remember what I've spent before 'roo each year. I've been the last 3 years and bring between $300 and $350 everytime and I've always had enough. I usually get back home with like $20 left. I've lived comfortably off that amount each year too. Ate food from the vendors a lot, bought a T-shirt and other stuff, shakedown goodies, some glass pieces and gas on the way down and back.
Yeah they start out selling them packed with great nugs, but after the cops start crackin down they stop. Don't mean to be a buzz kill or get anyone scared, but there was increased police force last year. A couple of the vendors said they were selling glass and the guy buying said hey since I'm buying such an expensive piece you think you could toss a nug in. When the guy says sure, they started handing out fines.

This'll be my first Roo and I'm going without parental permission (since I'm a minor), so I'm taking more than what I think I'll need incase anything happens.
I spent $420 on tickets (2), and gas to and back will run about $150. We've pretty much got all our camping supplies/necessities, and anything we don't have, we'll pick up on the way. Shouldn't be more than $100 on that. Plus food I'm thinking $100 since we'll be down there for 5 days. I'm taking $500 in cash with me for all that.
And if it's not enough - hooray for ATMs (though I've heard their lines are a kick in the balls)
Gas-This obiously varies depending on your location.
Food-We spend a bout $150 for six guys. Also, pack your traveling food for the trip down. Saves a lot of money rather than stopping at McDonalds.
Beer:Don't do like we did and buy 10 cases beforehand. (This was not my idea). It's a waste of money.Be realistic about your consumption. Plus it's a real hassle to haul 10 cases of beer back out.
As for everything else about $200 should cover it.
if you can wait things go down in price alot on sunday night/monday morning.... apiece of glass that was 80 you could get for 40 or 50...t shirts that were 20 on friday will be going for 8-10...but whatever you want could be gone by then... its a tough call...but keep it in mind
Not counting gas money - cause that depends on how many people are splitting it and what kind of gas mileage you get... I spent about $200 last year. That was enough for me to buy food every day in centeroo or on shakedown, ice, one cheap t-shirt, and fun stuff the whole time. I didn't however use any of that to buy alcohol (I hate beer and brought my own margaritas) water, or snacks (we brought in lots of fruit, crackers and pb&j stuff).
I'll bring 5 large with me but it won't cost that much for neccessities. I like to grab some heady souveniers for the rest of the year. At 46 years old I can't find some of the less mainstream recreational stuff on a regular basis. Like a damn Walmart - the Roo has everything you could ever need.
i always spend too much at roo...its hard to gauge..in 04 i spent over 200 dollars on ber at centeroo...in 05 i dont think i got a single beer there...but i spent 200 on yucky sticks...so my best estimate is 100 for food...100 for a glass piece and a couple shirts, 200 for "fun stuff" i always bring 5 or 6 hundered just to be safe, and i usually end up spending it
If i am able to go which is very likely at this point, i probably wont have any more than $200 if i'm lucky *shrug* This is my first bonnaroo, but my 2nd outdoor festival, my first was about 3-4 years ago and it was muuuuuuch smaller and i didnt have a penny to my name and still got by, so i think i'll manage on what i have available
really, that's "just in case" money.. I probably won't be spending all of it, but just in case I see something I really want, but normally wouldn't buy because of money issues, I'll be able to just go ahead and buy it.

I spent like 400 last year i think... This year im bringing a little under $700 for both Wakarusa and Bonnaroo... I never spent money on food either, that saves me a good $10-$20 a day...
