I get why signing Russ seems weird for the Steelers, but on the vet minimum and a one year deal, it can hardly be that disruptive. If he's a bad guy in the locker room, they were likely just problems that he'll exacerbate. With reports of Diontae Johnson being on the block and Allen Robinson already having been cut, that WR room is going to be remade pretty heavily.
I just can't think of the last semi-splashy FA move they've made. Also he's a diva and their culture is so opposed to that. Not a critique of the move or anything, just an odd culture fit.

Yep, it's definitely a change with them being active in the FA market. They rebuilt the ILB corps last year through free agency (cole holcomb, kwon alexander, elandon roberts) only for holcomb and alexander to get injured and miss the rest of the season. Also Trubisky LOL, big whiff, and Levi Wallace, big whiff. But Isaac Seomalu was a good signing at OG, and James Daniels at the other OG position also a good one.
The culture in the organization has been going downhill for years. It's one thing that drives me nuts about Steelers fans, thinking they are different than other organizations. They've had a lot of WR issues over the past 20 years or so, and also guys like James Harrison where they looked the other way.

Theyre just in a terrible spot when they end up at 500 or squeak into the playoffs. And what coach do you hire to take over for Tomlin and just do better? Completely stuck.
The Giants are literally lighting money on fire. That contract is ridiculous. ( not the money. The other shit. They cant escape this )

Not that anyone else cares this much about the Steelers, but they could start by drafting better. First round picks since TJ Watt in 2017 - Terrell Edmunds (2018, gone), Devin Bush (2019, traded up, big bust, gone), 2020 (traded for Minkah, probably better than what they would have done with it), 2021 - Najee (don't take first round RBs), 2022 - Kenny (never gave him a chance with Matt Canada as coordinator), 2023 - Brod Jones (looks to be OK, Colbert's last draft in 2022 so maybe new blood will change fortunes).
really didnt think Barkley would be an eagle but its always fun to stick it to a rival and watch giants fan cry. Dont think we needed him either and im a little concerned about him staying heathy. Plus, i dont believe investing heavily in RBs in general/ No doubt if he stays healthy he will be reat.
dont know anything about this boy Huff we signed from the jets but Howie is usually on point with DL moves. now there are rumor of Garner Johnson coming back which will be hilarious after all the crying he did last year after blowing in FA and having to take a one year deal.

Gross seeing Queen to Pitt and Stone to CIN, but given their careers they needed to take the best deal out there. Hope to see Henry stiff arm them both into oblivion.
