The only reason he was the team leader on anything was because Sutton missed 1 season with an ACL and Tim Patrick missed 2 seasons. And maybe an underwhelming 1st WR contributes to a bottom 10 passing game. Plus his replacement is already on the roster in Marvin Mims and we will definitely be adding a WR in the draft.
I don’t know what to think about that deal. Fuck the Bucs regardless but I don’t think he’s worth $33MM a year. I always halfway liked Mayfield but he seems like a temporary solution.

Pretty solid day for the Cardinals. Mac traded, Russ and Baker sign with teams we aren’t Commanders or Patriots. Kirk and Fields are the last two I need to go somewhere before I’m confident the Cards land MHJ.

I get why signing Russ seems weird for the Steelers, but on the vet minimum and a one year deal, it can hardly be that disruptive. If he's a bad guy in the locker room, they were likely just problems that he'll exacerbate. With reports of Diontae Johnson being on the block and Allen Robinson already having been cut, that WR room is going to be remade pretty heavily.
