Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Was it an intentional decision to give up inforoo.com or is this just a temporary mistake? I presume intentional, but just curious. Domain registration is very inexpensive. If it's a matter of a small amount of money to handle the domain registration, I may be willing to chip in.

Hi everyone,
As the title says, these will be the last few months of Inforoo. The mods and I have discussed ways to keep the website running but with the rising costs of website management and a dwindling user base, we believe that it is best for this website to die with some dignity.
While this must be sad and shocking news, we want to thank you all for making this such a wonderful website the past 18 years. Most websites do not last that long and we are honored that you all have developed such a wonderful community.
We will try to archive as much of the site as we can afford but please know that our cloud storage is limited so please use this thread to share your favorite inforoo posts and memories so they will, at the very least, be preserved in this thread.

this is very sad news but i get it. it's been a fun twenty years or so. but lets use this opportunity to CELEBRATE inforoo.
one of my favorite posts was back in 2008, when in response to Metallica being booked, an inforoo'er posted a rousing battle cry to reject what is popular in music and keep bonnaroo's roots:
Rouze up, O Young Men of the New Age! set your foreheads against the ignorant Hirelings! For we have Hirelings in the Camp, the Court & the University, who would, if they could, for ever depress Mental & prolong Corporeal War. Painters! on you I call. Sculptors! Architects! suffer not the fashionable Fools to depress your powers by the prices they pretend to give for contemptible works, or the expensive advertizing boasts that they make of such works; believe Christ & his Apostles that there is a Class of men whose whole delight is in Destroying. We do not want either Greek or Roman Models if we are but just & true to our own imaginations, those Worlds of Eternity in which we shall live for ever in Jesus our Lord.
In attacking the “ignorant Hirelings” in the “Camp, the Court & the University,” the inforoo'er repeats a familiar dissenting cry against established figures in Bonnaroo society. His insistence on being “just & true to our own Imaginations” places a special burden on the reader of his post. For as he makes clear, he demands the exercise of the creative imagination from all bonnaroovians.
In the well-known post that follows, he asks for a continuation of Christ’s vision in modern-day Bonnaroo:
I will not cease from Mental Fight, Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand Till we have built Jerusalem In Manchester, TN’s green & pleasant Land.
unfortunately the identification of the inforoo'er was lost to time, he was a big Palin guy and deleted his account after John McCain lost the 2008 election and everyone bombarded his PMs with "wsp sux".

What's funny is when I saw this thread this morning I went running through the house yelling "SOMEONE IS GOING TO BUY OUR DOMAIN OUT FROM UNDER US!!!!!"
My husband looked at me calmly and said "who the hell would want it?"

True story...Before Katrina I had a media company with my college bff. We just signed a HUGE deal with Epic divers to redo their manuals and a ton of other booklets. Katrina was 2 days later. During that week when you really couldn't do anything due to the storm, our domain came up for renewal and someone bought it from under us and turned it into a porn site. Told us we could have it back for some ridiculous amount of money. Epic divers went under during the storm, literally business-wise and so did our business. Thanks Katrina and asshole that bought my domain.
