I've had a peak at some of the lineup. No crazy super duper huge legacy act as previously reported (from the chunk I saw at least) but there are some very sick bands that I love very much so that plus actual LAKE is no brainer for me. Also, bum bumbumbum bum bum bummmmmmm

I'll say this as the No. 1 CAS hater, their popularity always blindsides and shocks me. Just a glance at streaming numbers, their hit single has 1.3 billion hits, and the tracks trailing that are all 400+ million. There have been murmurs for months of some "new management" style changes at DD, Livenation takeover, corporate sponsors, etc, and maybe booking this type of band comes alongside that. I'll say it again, but to me they just don't feeeeeeel like a Desert Daze act for whatever that's worth.
If I wake up tomorrow to Jack White/Massive Attack/[Kind of Boring Third Act] I'll be pleased.

tbf of all the tiktok spotify playlist fodder at least their influences are cool. David Lynch and Mazzy Star vibes. It's a festival that's why there's different stages and a lot of different types of bands. If we need some of those bands to play for this festival to happen at all I will gladly accept them with arms wide open. Trust me when I say the other bands I believe to be playing definitely make up for it.
