I can tell you all right now that 100% Desert Daze 2024 is happening. Changes I like are happening as well.

That would be the dream right here. As much as I enjoy the Lake, JT was perfect for Daze. But, I doubt it would take place at the Institute again unless circumstances have changed there.

Fairly obvious when you had the Saturday open. They never leave a Saturday open like that. So I figured it would be the same act both nights.
What did you correctly predict? I must've missed it.
That Khru was doing the Bowl. When they added those spring dates and then the August ones you had that glaring gap on the Bowl schedule and this was the only artist that made any sense to have. Along with Khru probably 99% locked in for both ACL weekends, this was gonna take em out of the running. But the DD sub is in denial now.

Man, I must be tripping, you're totally right. The two promotors collaborate/advertise each other and share bands in their sponsored shows throughout the year, not to mention just outright genre of acts. But it looks like the actual festivals don't overlap that much.

We've seen crazier zig-zagging, and obviously the possibility isn't really high. But still something to chew on.
What are we actually thinking for booked bands? I'm seeing a handful of tour date lineups between here and R*ddit. Converge, Hinds, Mannequin Pussy, etc. Are there any strong leads on headliners? Educated guesses? With the year off it feels a lot more open ended than making an annual prediction
There are plenty of interesting groups active and touring in 2024 so I see a lot of potential for DD.
