I got a "from acts that I know are performing, its still happening" response when asking about it. So theres that.
Someone brought up that maybe they're going scaled down like 2021. I'd probably still go to that
If they somehow keep the big names they had last year it could just be a 2 stage deal. Just go between Moon and Block back and forth. Then have some dj's in camping or something. We'll see. Makes you think how much everyones gonna have to fork over for this though.
When isnt there. At this point nothing is "late" so whats the problem? Unwound with pnw dates right after DD looks promising.
They did say they were going to announce early this year. It's pretty much June. That's past early
Pretty words are just that.
I want this to happen, but so far communication from DD leaves me less than optimistic. I'm already planning on attending Hopscotch as my backup Fall fest.
What placement would we expect for Unwound? Headliner? Sub? I'm not too familiar but I hear great things, popular group.
And consequently, what's a good album of theirs to start on?
The end of October they’re celebrating the 30th anniversary of New Plastic Ideas with a few shows in the PNW. I’d figure more than a few tunes will make up the set.
Personal favorites are the Future of What, Fake Train, and Repetition. You can make a case for the self titled and New Plastic Ideas as well.

Imagine if you had been expecting Riot Fest to announce this whole month of May and all youve gotten was insults from a twitter account. Thats much more respectful than getting some confirmations, right?

Over and over they've been saying, along with other reliable sources, that it's happening this year. Hopefully the doomsday mofos will chill and stop with the meltdowns.

They wont cause they would rather have the fest die then it have bands they dont think fit the festival so it can stay alive.
I'm surprised nobody has chimed in worried about what Phil did or didn't say regarding Daze at his Jjuujjuu show last night.
I'm sure will either get the lineup this week, or a lot of teasing/hype this week with the lineup released the week of June 17th.
Phil didn't say anything from the stage about DD but the singer from opening act Wild Wild Wets talked about it a couple times, saying "see you in Lake Perris." Was a cool show, with great visuals from our man getbetter.
Any more guesses or lineup predictions before this thing drops? I've been totally consumed taking care of my baby the past 2 weeks with the wife back at work, so I'm really out of the loop on who can potentially be in play.
Just give me some Osees, bar italia, Boy Harsher, Slowdive, Hinds, UMO, Wand, Warpaint...Maybe someone like St. Vincent or Sharon Van Etten...And Little Simz or Sault (would be mind-blowing, I know its not happening but one could dream). And Jungle.

There have been a number of soft announces so far (Wine Lips, Hinds, Unwound), otherwise there is a pretty wide breadth of potential psych rock bands touring with October gaps.
Given that Massive Attack is stateside the week after DD, I'm going to throw them in for the absolute fantasy prediction.

Massive Attack would be epic. I'll wager we get Qotsa performing Songs for the Deaf. Then some bands probable mid tier wishlisters for me (without checking tour schedules) are Cola, This Is Lorelei, Thou, Amen Dunes, Still House Plants, Beak>, High on Fire, Telescopes, American Culture, Spiral Dub. Please and THANK YOU.

Theres a bunch like that already and people are just thinking theyre playing cause they have a day off.
Really hoping the lineup drops next week...Or else peeps are gonna lose their minds online.
Jjuujjuu resumes shows next Wednesday so I would assume something prior?? They started posting this week with photos other than just show flyers so it has to be kicking up right?
Of course I'm likely as delusional as everyone else in the comments
