I got a really bad eye infection during covid and it wouldnt go away because of always having to wear a mask. Went on lots of antibiotics and prednisone. Well because of the language barrier between the doctor and I, he didn't tell me to taper off the prednisone after being on it for months. I stopped taking it cold turkey and body siezed up and all my joints were in extreme pain. All over. Felt like I was 90 years old.

Fuck steroids.
That's not the steroids' fault that it was taken wrong. That's like saying "I took an entire bottle of Tylenol and ended up in the ER, fuck Tylenol". Eye infection sounds horrible though. I was on prednisone for a while for some allergy shit; it made me feel like a superhuman.

Kratom is kinda useful for weaning off opiates bc it hits opioid receptors but it's also pretty easy to get hooked on it because it hits opioid receptors

I'm of the opinion that coke is pretty overrated (and Adderall too for recreational use), but I was much more into opiates and hallucinogenics than uppers

I've yet to try coke bc
1. everyone whose substance opinions I respect says it's lame 2. it's so sketch to do white powders in the midwest even with testing 3. pharmaceutical stimulants (for me) are very fun and sufficient

Yeah, I'm sure some of it is generational and affected by class but i was fine doing a shit ton of Adderall or Focalin. After doing pharmaceutical stimulants through high school, coke just didn't really do it for me but I'm biased and prefer pretty much everything else on this list to coke and Adderall
Coke sucks. Prednisone is a life saver for me, since I have severe asthma and allergies. I have to get a treatment at least once a year, plus my nebulizer uses steroids and I use that quite a bit sometimes. I have only done coke two times in my life and it does the opposite to me than it does to others. I don't like being even MORE in my head than I already am personally. Meth on the other hand...again in another lifetime, thank god it was eliminated.

Right? Who doesn't like a lil xannie bopper?
I wonder how many people who have done K have also tried PCP? They are kissing cousins and I understand that if you really regulate the dosage, it can be pretty appealing. Too many people running down the street naked in December really has people down on Angel Dust.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

The two or three times I've had serious poison ivy in my life, steroids have saved my ass. Actually, I had it the worst I ever have from passing out in the woods a couple weeks before Lolla '08 (my first real multi day festival) and Prednisone saved me. And I feel great on them

I will take a xanax to fly, but honestly I am not a fan. I was prescribed when I was younger and I just remember how groggy I would be in the mornings. I would feel like that until I took my next dosage (which was in the morning), but it was just such a shitty feeling. It was the main reason I got off of them.

FTR, I am not the xanax voter. I was just stating why I am not a huge fan. One here and there is fine, especially to fly or if I am having a panic attack.

my favorite part of "sicko mode" is still when drake raps about taking a xanax and sleeping for the whole flight and it's somehow the emotional and energy peak of the whole song.

Was it a pretty high dose or just your body chemistry not agreeing with it I wonder? I have to take it to keep from going to the ER when I have a bad panic attack, once or twice a month. But I only take .25mg, sometimes even just .125mg. Makes me a little sleepy, but really just gives me the GABA that I need right then. No side effects. Before they gave me Xanax I would chew up a Benadryl when I'd have an attack. Do not recommend.

Have you ever tried Kava?
I tried to get prescribed 2 Xanax a month and my doc wouldn't do it. Gave me an antihistamine instead as if I hadn't tried the panicky 4 benadryl thing

My man was out like a light for 13 hours off of 1/2 a Xanax. Smh.

I'm prescribed Xanax because it's a wonderful drug for my terrible anxiety disorder. I also hate planes and would take a lil xanny before I jumped on a plane.
I was visiting my brother and we'd made these incredible edibles that were special snickerdoodles, so I figured I would eat one of those and I'd be fine. So I took one, and then three hours later I'm at my gate and I'm not feeling a thing. I panic, take a Xanax, and start to feel the edible the second I get through the door of the plane. I sit down, knock out, and wake up in a completely different seat than the one I'd been in before. Turns out, in my barred-out and elevated state, I managed to make my connecting flight, sit down, and fall asleep again while my brain did not write down any of the things that happened. 10/10 but I will never try teleporting again.

I know you know this, so just saying it out loud for others. Ohio has some of the strictest laws when it comes to not only drug possession but also in the prescription of controlled substances. Xanax is a schedule IV and they still put you through the ringer to get it and track prescribers here. My Dr. wouldn't prescribe it because I used a gummy the weekend before and was still positive for THC. The first time I had been positive for anything in 20 years. I get them from someone in another state now.

Also, Capital Cincy or anyone else, not just Vieux. Have you ever tried Kava? I haven't but it enhances GABA so I wonder if it is a viable alternative. I'll have to try it to see what it is like.

Chemistry. They tried to switch me up with a few other things, but everything had some weird thing it did. I am one of those weirdos. It is why I self medicate with weed now. I also can't do morphine because my metabolism burns it off immediately. When I shattered my wrist the nurse and thejeremy were in awe of how it hit my system, eyes dilated and went back to normal within 1 min. Nurse said he has never actually seen that happen before. I am a special weirdo.
