I mostly agree with everything that’s been said about golf, but I have a soft spot for it because it’s the only thing that gets my 82-year-old dad out of the house anymore. Maybe if my dad went out to beat the shit out of people, I’d have a greater appreciation for MMA.
ppl really go with moralization over green grass over a sport where u hook animals or a sport where the u drive gas guzzling cars in a circle over and over off the jump huh
Fishing is already gone but I'd just like to say that it's a sport/past time that is by necessity conservation-focused. Golf is the opposite.

Out the gate coming after the sports that aren't a game and don't even involve competitors responding to each other to try to win. Literally just doing an activity next to someone else.
MMA is the most fun sport to bet on. Nothing better than when your dude is getting crushed knowing you are just one punch/kick away from a KO to save u
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
problem? It’s obviously better than wrestling and boxing at a minimum.
top tier boxing >>> top tier MMA. but so rare to have a top tier boxing match now a days. but obvi way better than wrestling
Couldn't disagree more. I'll never understand how people like something more that is less indicative of a real fight, includes SIGNIFICANTLY less interesting technique and strategy, etc... on top of what you mentioned about them never putting together good fights. To me it would be like if Offensive Line Blocking was a sport on its own and people liked it more than football.

I kinda agree with you, but Boxing is still much more iconic

It was funny to me so I lol'd. I have it bottom 5 but that includes (my opinion) douche factor of many of the promoters, participants and fans. Is it better than wrestling or boxing? Probably not olympic but it would be on par with pro boxing and certainly better than pro-wrestling. But since wrestling is undefined (arm wrestling? greco-roman style? WWE/catch as catch can? sumo? - it doesn't say) I'm not voting for it yet.
My bottom 6 (literally never going to watch again) are MMA, Golf, Boxing, Wrestling, Tennis and most motorsports.

There are some huge MMA matchups where when the fight starts I'm on the edge of my seat like I've never experienced with any other sport. I was always hesitant to get into it until recently because of how brutal it is, but it is at least comforting to know that it's less dangerous than boxing and that there have never been any deaths in the UFC (not sure about other leagues).
