I tuned off like 15 mins in. I didn’t realize it got even worse.
The apology on top of ghe apology was even more epic. And I scrolled through Anyma to find her "performing" and all she did was punch some projections then kiss Anyma and stand there looking weird.
I didn't realize that Khruanbin and Barry overlapped so much so I think the move next weekend is to skip Khru and go with two shell and barry before getting a spot for bicep. I feel like Krhuangbin will be at desert daze this year and the set from last night isn't sorta just their regular set so it'll be easier to catch later on. was there really no medly?
two shell & barry were the two best sets i saw yesterday (the b2b2b was also dope, watched this morning), so IMO this is definitely the move

that two shell set sat with me the rest of the night, ngl. it was really jarring for the first 10 minutes but then my brain started processing it different I guess.
1. Justice- obvious pick is obvious, will almost certainly be seeing their dc show now
2. Tyler- couldn’t be happier for the guy! Took it by the horns and crushed it
3. Chappell Roan- queen of everything, Richmond is gonna treat you so well girly pop
4. Ice Spice- she surpassed my expectations more than anybody else. As somebody said earlier, great job by coachella and her team setting her up for success, and great job Ice Spice!
5. Jungle- seems like their live show has leveled up alongside their popularity, loved it

I guess my top 5 would be something like ths, not all based on how much I enjoyed the set and if it would be my top sets of next weekend, but giving bonus points on the "well, that was something unlike what I expected" bump.
1. Justice. just another level. I saw them back in 07 and 08 and their show has just gotten better eaach cycle. the new mixes were great and the visuals were amazing.
2. No Doubt. I was gonna see them, but as a casual genx fan they weren't exactly my favorite band in the world growing up but it's hard to deny the nostalgia. after seeing the set it's now a must see. nostalgia be damned, that was the true headliner of the festival. Gwen and the boys all sounded great and that crowd had to be the biggest of the weekend by far.
3. Chappel Roan was a cool lineup discovery, but that set was way better than I expected. she's gonna headline festivals, and soon. I still haven't decided if I will see this set or L'Imperatrice next weekend, but I feel like you can't go wrong with either.
4. Yoasobi. probably wouldn't make my top 5 sets if not for the bonus points of being so much better than I expectred. that just looked like tons of fun and I think I'll go there instead of NEIL FRANCES of BC,NR.
5. Orbital. my people.
honorable metions in no particular order: Blur, Gessa, Jon Batiste (really wish I could catch this next weekend), Oneohtrik Point Never, Last Dinner Party, Raye, TWO SHELL, Hermanos Gutierrez, Atarashii Gakko

Doesnt totally matter, you could argue this idea and everything coming a year after something similar is an issue. since its a visual its very easy to compare. Its not like when Lorde accused Kanye of stealing her production when it was the same designer who did them both. Kanye and Drake had eerily similar stage shows at one point and it stemmed from the same thing of productions that were pitched and then who said yes to what but they had some overlap.

Bicep is just better on record IMO. I saw them at Primavera too and it was just "fine". They don't do anything particularly interesting in their live sets.

yeah, I agree, people come up with similar ideas all the time, I just mean based on the videos it's a cooler effect seeing someone pounding on and eventually breaking the "glass" around a DJ booth to reveal the DJ inside as opposed to just having the animation tap on the screen.

Not just you. I'm cherry picking only a handful of them... But a couple started right away and finished in like 20 seconds. Tyler's set sat there for like 6 hours before starting. Still waiting on L'Imperatrice.
Doesn't seem like it. Cleared it and re-started. Connected to 5-6 peers now but still just sitting there.
most of these only have 2-4 seeds and even the largest only has 16 so I think demand is pretty weak this year. I did notice my ratio was like 0.2 to 0.5 and remembered that I have a new mesh and was probably double NATted and once I forwarded my ports my upload shot up to ~6mbps and saw around 10 complete uploads cycle through over the next 15 minutes. Hopefully things sort themselves out but if it doesn't we can work something else out.

I tried to start reseeding the ones I hit and run yesterday but only like a quarter seem to recognize the files already present and the rest just hang on "Downloading" and I'm not an expert on this stuff.

I noticed Tyler was out of sync but I haven't played many of them yet so I haven't ran into issues personally but now I wonder if that's why sunday's haven't appeared yet. Hmmm
