I feel like I should see Natasha because it just feels like one of those magical moments where the crowd will be an all time vibe, but also don’t see me leaving Jamie XX once I start moving and grooving.
Jamie is going to be incredible, but as he luckily played a good amount of this album in 2022 at Coachella I think the move might really be to get that moment in. Even beyond living in the middle of Canada's vast nothing this is a one time chance lol. (I also feel the same way about Peaches and even MIA, I know the MIA hate but Kala is a very important album in my life)
Any way you go though, remember there are no wrong choices (except missing Justice)
Similar to most people who live in SF, I've never been.
I am a native and I've been...but I was like 5 years old, never been since. You're right, almost nobody who grew up here/lives here has been. My wife (who is also hella Bay Area) did go do a night time tour when her friend was moving back to NYC and realized she hadn't done any SF touristy things, so they did like one tourist thing a night for the last seven days. She thought it was pretty fun...she hadn't been before either lmao.
Having had virtually no experience doing it, I do think on paper it is one of our more interesting tourist attractions and I would def do it if I was a tourist.

Just to add to this, I’ve generally heard the night tour is better than day, but I’ve only done day. Years ago they hosted an Ai Weiwei exhibition; I’m still kicking myself for missing that.
What is good before 4:00 on Saturday. I have zero down time any other time the entire festival but that is kind of a dead zone for me currently.
Fcukers are a new live house band that have kind of a 90s sound to them. Been hit or miss on individual songs of theirs but the videos I've seen of the live show are really good.

Saw them open for Confidance Man last year, really fun.

Any Confidence Man adjacency is an easy sell for me. I'll be there.

I knew this lineup was wild when it was leaked, and then its become normalized for me over the last few months, but its just hitting me again today how fucking absurd it is that all this globally elite/rare electronic talent is all crammed into this tiny ass festival footprint in my hometown on my birthday weekend lmao. Too good to be true.
On another note, since this is largely a Bay Area crowd, anyone else going to Hans Zimmer next Thursday?

Throwing a secret House Party tomorrow night w/ a decent sized Portola artist for an unofficial afters. Let me know if you want to come thru and I'll send details.
