Well to my disdain, I have found it impossible for me to take the RV that I put a reservation on all the way back in November. (This is as a result of finances, a lack of vacation time, and a lack of friends willing to go in an RV)
Well enough whining on my part, here's the good news (maybe) for all of you.
I am auctioning off my reservation on E-bay for the RV, which is located in Nashville. Here's the link:
The auction also includes an RV pass and an RV companion vehicle pass.
I have talked the people at Cruise America into letting me pass the 25% discount on to the person I transfer the reservation to. (I got the discount for booking early)
Well pass the word on if you know anyone who needs an RV for Bonnaroo this year, it will really help me out with my current financial woes.
Thanks All!! ;D
Moderators: I wasn't sure which section of this board this thread would be most appropriate in so I posted here as well as in the rides/directions section. If possible please leave it in both Thanks guys
Apparently E-bay has pulled this auction because it is listed under the "Travel section" and I am not "SquareTrade travel verified"
I have re-listed it under music. (Uptight E-bay bastards) Well here's the link to the new auction, sorry for any confusion anyone. I changed the link in my first post too.

Thats cool that they'll let you transfer the rental over, seems like it would be illegal to rent something in your name out to a 3rd party, but if they're willing to transfer and you dont turn a profit on it it would be legit and sounds like a great idea for you...
Sorry im not a bite, i dont think i could round up enough friends willing to go to make it worth it for me... Good luck man!
Agreed... I think it's even COOLER that they're letting me transfer the 25% discount over as well.
There's really no incentive for them to do it, I mean the discounts are usually for promotional reasons and God knows they don't need the promotion for this weekend, let alone in Nashville on this weekend.
I wouldn't take the risk of renting it to a 3rd party in my name, especially for Bonnaroo weekend. (No offense guys but i think you know where I'm coming from on this!)
Fortunately when I transfer it, it is a full transfer and the reservation is in there name.

hmmmm,, you got a reserve on that? Can I ask what you paid for this cause we might be interested in this one and it would help to know about what this should close for. Thanks bro!
No I didn't put a reserve on it, it'll go for whatever the top bid is. Keep in mind that the auction is just for the reservation, it doesn't include the rental fee's (It's all their in the auction just make sure you read the whole thing)
Whoever wins the auction is gonna get a great deal anyway you cut it. Here's how I'd break it down for you financially. (Bear with me here cause it might be a little lengthy and I might come off as a sleezy used car salesman type) ;D
I rented the RV in November so I got a 25% discount off their normal rates. So if you wanted to rent an RV from cruise america right now, a 4 day rental would cost you roughly $1,500 all said and done, not including extra mileage ($.29 every mile over 400 miles) This RV will cost you roughly $1,100 all said and done (save for a $3/hour generator fee). This price includes 400 miles; you'll use less than 1/2 of those if you just drive to Roo and back, so they'll refund 200 miles at $.29 a mile. This would pretty much cancel out the generator fee.
I see you live in Columbus (i know creepy right?) If you did want to rent an RV right now, you MIGHT be able to find one in Ohio, I think even those are rented out. RV's get about 8 miles to the gallon, so take whatever you plan to spend on gas driving a car down and probably double or triple it (quadruple if you're a prius driver!!). This RV is in Nashville, just 65 miles away. (2.9 miles from the airport if you were flyin in) So there's another way you can justify it.
Also included in the Auction are an RV pass and RV companion pass, $65 bucks together.
So lets say you decided for sure that you're taking an RV to roo. If you called cruise america the whole deal would cost you probably $1,550 for the RV passes and the rental. Plus maybe a $100 gas premium over my rental. So if you look at it that way, if my auction goes for anything less than $550-600 (and I'm pretty sure it will) you're getting a deal you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else right now.
Keeping in mind that's under the assumption that you could find an RV anywhere for the weekend of Bonnaroo. I've been told they're all sold out within over 1,000 miles of Manchester for this weekend.
To be honest I really have no idea what the auction will go for, there's only one bid on it right now for $50.
If you're trying to talk some friends into it, if you get 6 people together the RV will cost less than $200/person for the trip, less than $50 a day per person. If you wanna squeeze a 7th person it'll obviously be even cheaper.
So in line with my greasy salesman spiel, "My loss is your gain" (Even though I really am gaining from it too)
P.S. when you're bidding keep in mind the deposit's. So you'll have to pay $300 of the $1100 rental fee upfront (when we switch the reservation) with the people at cruise america (This fee is fully refundable if you cancel up to june 11th) You'll also have to put down a $500 security deposit when you pick the hoss up. Obviously you get that back too when you bring it back.
