John Summit doesn't really have radio songs like a Marshmello, Diplo etc. Feel like he's gotten big pretty much off of live performances and festivals. He's going to be around a long time and it's absurd he's getting votes before like half of these.
The xx has been around for 20 years at this point. If not a headliner by this point, then when?
Are we counting SK? They headlined there 8 years ago.
Also closed the north at Lolla. They'll headline with a popular album on this cycle, which is in the works. Or maybe the next cycle, but it will happen eventually

The xx isn't that complicated. If they come back next year, it will have been 7 years since they played a show. That scarcity + Jamie's rising profile is probably enough to bump them from sub to headliner at the majors, especially if they're getting a promotional push for a new album. Coachella as their first announced shows feels like a no brainer.

John Summit does not have crossover songs atm, but it seems to be only a matter of time. It doesn’t seem like he’s unwilling or incapable, just hasn’t made one yet.
