Gonna make a new thread and see if I stick with it.
Can discuss the Fallout TV show here if wanted.
But I am mostly going to be using this to discuss any playthroughs or other topics about the games.
With the new Fallout 4 updates happening I'm going to get that and start playing a brand new playthrough of Fallout 4.
I've also started playing recently on Fallout 76. I'm on the PS5 and if you play Fo76 you can find me on there as itrainmonkeys. Or shoot me a message here. I'm still new to that game despite putting in a few hundred hours on Fallout 4.
If I stick with it will try to post some gameplay pics and vids but we'll see where my time goes and if I keep playing this.

I need to start up the Fallout 4 new game now that the update is out but I want to take a look and do some research on some of the needed mods. I don't want anything outlandish or crazy...sometimes using stuff to deal with carry weight/overencumbered stuff maybe some other things that enhance the game, not change it.
Like I don't need a Macho Man Dragon flying around doing stuff but if something makes some minor aspect of the game a bit better I'll probably use it.
I'm on PS5 so I think that limits the types of mods anyway compared to PC but I remember them having a bunch anyway. Just completely memory-holed this all and need to refresh my brain

I always go back and forth on this. Sometimes I feel it's insane they haven't put this obvious song on one of the radio stations. But then I think maybe it doesn't quite fit the vibe of a lot of the other music. The Dead version certainly doesn't but the original is closer and was recorded 1962. So right around the cut off of some of the younger New Vegas songs.

Going to start a new game in Fallout 4 in a bit. Gotta decide what to name my character. Usually go with something based on a character in a show I'm watching (or rewatching) at the moment.
I downloaded a number of mods on the PS5. Hoping they all work and don't break the game with the update. Most say it should work. Mostly just graphics changes (more greenery, different lighting) but then a few other game enhancement ones.
No big cheat ones like any gun or ammo or whatever. More mods like ones that add a few more locations or change some settler or Minuteman stuff. Nothing too crazy.
I always start off trying to read a lot of lore and holodisk stuff but then speed through. Hope I can last longer on this run through. Will try to focus more on the main story than usual but always get sidetracked.

Here we go.
Have you played the Far Harbor DLC for 4? I really liked it. I burnt myself out on the Vault building DLC and never even played the Nuka-world one. I might go back to it at some point.

I had far harbor and I think I played it but I can't recall and want to avoid too many spoilers so I haven't looked up exactly what happens there.
I remember trying to hold off on any dlc as long as I could...sort of like how I tend to hold off making any major decisions on faction to support until I have to. So I forget how much of the dlc I played.
Attempting to recapture some of that magic by not reading or watching too too much and exploring the game on my own. Like I started watching a video about good things to do or not miss when starting the game and when I realized he's basically just showing me "go here and get some good supplies and here is supplies and here is where to find blah blah" I realized I didn't want that stuff.
So anyway, starting fresh but already ran into mod issue.
I had some odd issues with water and lighting so I think I need to move around some mods in the load order or maybe just turn a few more off. Stuff like when it rained the water on my head wasnt looking right and then when walking through some water it reacted weird. And with lighting I noticed if I stayed still and moved nothing things looked one way but as soon as I'd spin the camera or just move the camera at all then the environment looked brighter or different.....so back to the drawing board.
I'm out of the vault and discovered Sanctuary and what's left. Didn't get too far at all yet
I finally got around to watching the series this weekend. Did the whole thing in two days. Really fantastic. Might be the first video game adaptation to exceed its source material
