That would definitely shoot them up my list. But my first thought is is Portishead coming back?
I thought that too but I guess only time will tell. I’m just assuming he either needs a break or he wants to do something else be it solo or another project.
Sad as Beak has blown me away every time I’ve seen them and the albums are great. They collectively gelled together and created some great shit.

Starting to listen through the lineup a bit more methodically and really think this might be my most anticipated set. Great soundtrack for my Saturday morning bike ride

Caught Joy Guidry last night and she should be at the top of everyone's list. Hypnotic and gorgeous harmonized bassoon loops and then when she had us in her clutches, she dropped the noise hammer on us. Just spectacular. Big love to Whited Sepulchre Records who put together the Talk Low Festival here in Cincy--five nights of the good stuff including Laraaji, Maria Chavez, Claire Rousay, KMRU, Niecy Blues, and Galcher Lustwerk.

I've filled in all of my musical blanks except for these 5. Anyone have any good links for me to check out?
Ambrose Akinmusire: Honey from a Winter’s Stone Axiom 5 Maria Chávez + Victoria Shen + Mariam Rezaei Rachika Nayar & Nina Keith The Mockingbird by R.B. Morris and William Wright

Rachika Nayar & Nina Keith will be a new project from both. They collaborated for the Adult Swim Festival a few years ago and produced this.

RB Morris and William Wright are both local artists. From the site,
"Big Ears 2025 will be the World Premiere of The Mockingbird, a collaboration between poet RB Morris and composer William Wright, which will showcase a reading performance of Morris’s book of the same name, accompanied by an experimental chamber orchestra and choir treatment by Wright."
Given this, it might be hard to source anything for this performance specifically.

I'm realizing that one of the biggest challenges for me, even before the schedule is printed, is the Philip Glass Ensemble performance of "Music in Twelve Parts." I'm a massive PG fan, and have never had the opportunity to see this piece performed live. However, it's roughly 4-hours long and that means: SCHEDULE CONFLICTS! I know this will be a performance with people coming and going, but to experience the entire thing would be so fantastic...

My life is hard.
4 hours is rough for anything at a festival. If it were me, I’d dip in and out unless there’s nothing else you wanna see at the time.
Start making sacrifices to the scheduling gods now.

I really hope they start Music in 12 Parts at like 10 in the morning. It's my pal's top thing for the whole weekend and I would really love to see all of it, but that's three entire other sets blocked out.

My life is hard.
Don’t know if it helps with conflicts but they’re splitting over 2 days and will have intermissions.
“ Day 1: –Parts One, Two & Three -15 minute intermission -Parts Four, Five & Six
Day 2: -Parts Seven, Eight & Nine -15 minute intermission Parts Ten, Eleven & Twelve“
“ At Big Ears, Rother will play a selection of favorite tracks from his long career, including fast-forward tracks from NEU! and Harmonia”
Perhaps I’m being dense but what do you think they mean by “fast forward” tracks? Medleys? Abbreviated? Reinterpreted?
I've read interviews with Rother where this term was used... I think it was just referring to the driving, pulsating music they created with tracks like "Hallogallo"
Hear me out. Harrington has played several times and Darkside played Moog/Mt. Oasis way back when. It’s not like they don’t have a relationship and this fits for a big surprise addition.

Nubya Garcia dates make her practically a lock for an add, tour starts in Virginia on 4/1. Missed her at 2022 but saw her later that year at Nelsonville and LOVED it
