Buttrock Blind Survivor Round 11: Godsmack

I think anywhere in that 10-13 range is perfect for these guys. The highs (Voodoo, I Stand Alone, Straight Out Of Line) are super high, but the lows are real goddamn low. I saw them last summer and it was really disappointing because most of what they played was post 2010, but the hits still hit. Bonus points for Sully dating Lady Gaga back in the day because that's really funny

You guys will have some regrets when Lit wins this thing.

11 is probably the sweet spot. not a band i’d ever willingly listen to but more listenable than a lot of other buttrock bands

I think 11 is the move here.

One of the best names in buttrock inspired by the song lyrics above. I don’t have a strong opinion on them and don’t think about them. Mid band for a low-mid genre.

I used to love Voodoo but as I've grown older and wiser I've come to think it might be one of the worst popular songs ever, just an automatic skip for me if it comes on.

I never listened to any of them.

Probably most or all of those were in the original 32. Likely they didn’t all make the 20 used. We got an earlier Teddy like for Static X but it was a post by me suggesting no way he left them out of the 32. So 2:3.2 chance they’re in. 10ish.

Would normally go 15 or 16 but I dont think Evanescence is better than Godsmack so 13 it is.
