I might go with 5 also. I feel like they are 6-8 range but we don’t know what’s left and shouldn’t put them below A7. 6 is probably most realistic of what we have left. But there are only 2 higher spots.

Saving 1. for Metallica or Tool. Korn is probably the next best that could be in this. I’d put Foos higher but I don’t think the group would.

I also agree Foos should be higher. While I ranked Korn @ 2023 Bonnaroo higher than the FF and in my Top 5 for the year, I don't think they are better than the Foo Fighters. But this group will not agree. Korn is better than Mudvayne, A7, Godsmack and arguably better than System of a Down. For me, the 6 was the right call to preserve the two spots above them. Worst case scenario is there are no Metallicas, AICs, Tools or Soundgardens, Iron Maidens or ACDCs left and we get fucked on who ended up on the list. The other bad scenario is there are more than 2 of those level bands meaning we overrated some of the early shit.

I already didn’t like Korn, but I recently watched the Woodstock ‘99 docuseries, which landed every buttrock band in that lineup right on my shit list.

So was that a vote for 10th which is the lowest vote in the poll or an abstention? Seems like other than you, Korn is pretty non-controversial at least as to how much most people here like them.

Yes, that’s right. #10. There are plenty of buttier buttrock bands, but I think there are still a few bands I like who might end up in this.
Radiohead is also pretty non-controversial here. They also suck.
It’s a matter of time. They put out a lot of disturbing imagery and music. But I gotta say some of the video shit like Dope Show, I don’t like the drugs and Beautiful People are up there with the most disturbing. So that’s worth something.
I was thinking Jane’s, who isn’t buttrock but from that era wouldn’t be a bad 5. Nothing’s Shocking was all that mattered but it more than stands the test of time. Wish they could have bottled that shit.
