Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. Really big, really old, really long, and I guess pretty well regarded in the biking world. It's less of a race and more of an excuse for the small Iowa towns along the route to throw ragers all week long. The hardcore riders dunk their tires in the Missouri River at the start and the Mississippi River at the end. I've been meaning to do the final leg now that I have a bike, but it hasn't fallen into place.
