Warped is back, baby! Sources say Kevin Lyman is involved but Live Nation is in charge and using it as a replacement for When We Were Young, which is dead after this year. Anybody interested in a revival?

Warped tour has been back imo anyways except now it's called Grey Day tour but it's pretty much the same type of youth and a good chuck of the artists are pretty sus.
if when we were young was able to capitalize off of the success of warped tour nostalgia, i would have liked to see a similar one day festival but based around 90s lollapalooza lineups

hopefully there will be less pedophilia going on this time
Katy Perry wont be in the tour so that helps.
As much as the "Live Nation involvement" thing its prob moreso that theyre gonna have it in their venues. Its not as if Lyman doesnt know how to book this thing. Def has the sense that theyll maybe have a max of 10 of the events in the entire country to make sure they sell. Where it can go wrong is if they just make WWWY happen in all those places. Thats not what Warped was. It was a cheap entry point for kids to see a bunch of music. This shouldnt be marketed towards anyone over 30. Like if theyre gonna ask $150 for a single day, thats asking for trouble. Dont use a brand that was all about value to try and rip people off from the same shit they can go see elsewhere. The final touring version of Warped was $40 after fees if you got a ticket online. I paid $45 to get a souvenir ticket included. Dont get big ass names, its not needed. And they better not give anyone more than 30 minutes. I went from 2000 - 2018 so yeah, might have an idea of whats up

Considering the revival of nu metal among Gen Z (Deftones at Lolla, SOAD in San Fran, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Korn all back in arenas), I'm sure Sharon would try (or at least lease out the name)
I would welcome an Ozzfest return but Wimmer seems to have cracked the code on the metal/buttrock value prop. It works better as a fest instead of a tour and Wimmer seems to have found the right cities/regions to run in.
Slipknot made some overtures on a touring Ozzfest/Knotfest type thing but it was really just a glorified Slipknot plus openers tour.

Yeah totally. I'm just bitter that for whatever reason So Cal hasn't had its own "premiere" metal fest since the last couple of OzzFests back in 2016/2017 I think it was.

Same in Chicago and NYC. Wimmer pushed so hard with Chicago Open Air and it flopped. Partially due to location, but still.
The final Chicago Open Air had an incredible lineup and they had to give away tickets to paper the stadium enough.

It’s LN trying to bring back Warped Tour there’s zero chance they don’t heavily market it to millennials so you’re getting some big pop punk names for sure. I’m just hoping they hit Atlanta because I don’t want to go to Florida for it
I mean if thats the deal then theyre just looking to do WWWY in maybe 5 places. Nobody will be happy and the resale market will tank cause youre not trying to get everyone to go to one place.
