I have a lot of love for GameStop, it was always my favorite store as a kid, worked there for a year in my 20s, now I have a digital-only PS5 but still stop in to buy plushies for the dog to tear up
My only initial complaint is how poor their trade in value is, but I’m assuming most of the entries on this list don’t allow you to return any items for cash so we can go pretty high here for sure
It's fine. You can usually get what you need there for yourself or your kids if you or they play video/console games. It's come in handy for plenty of presents over the years, and the nerds that work in them are usually nice and accommodating. I wouldn't go into one just to browse around, but I don't really play video games.

Once upon a time I worked with a company called Spring Mobile which GameStop owned and was an AT&T authorized retailer. They were pretty horrible to employees, and $5 store credit trade ins for like 4 games that came out in the past 6 months make this an easy for me. Plus all the gimmicky things like "power plus" card they tried over the years.
