It doesn’t have anything for me, but I took my daughter there a few times when she was younger. You could get a bunch of shit for 100.00 without trying. I went #13.
They have them in most major cities. It’s a Swedish retailer of discount fashion clothes. It’s primarily geared towards ladies and girls but they do have some guy shit there too. It’s not a bad store at all for what it is.
Literally almost 4,000 locations. Grainvale is too podunk but they have them in Spartanburg, Charleston, North Charleston, Myrtle, Bluffton Gaffney and Florence.
H&M is trash fast fashion, but it's inexpensive and always on point.
Bought a pair of stretchy shorts from there in summer 2022 and now I can't wear them because they've stretched too much and they are too big for me, even when I tie the drawstring super tight. Haven't even gained that much weight. Just happens from washing them a certain number of times.
All these fast fashion retailers like H&M, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Urban Outfitters, Uniqlo. Like if I buy a tee from them I have like maybe 5 to 7 washes before they start getting little holes in them. Collar always breaks. So I just wash my clothes a lot less now and with very minimal detergent, on the lightest setting. And always hang dry. And it still happens. Shit sucks.

Greenville is bigger than a couple of those places.

Exactly cute, inexpensive, 5-10 washes top, fast fashion. Two steps above Shein.
At this point, I’m holding out on voting 20 for anything in case Hobby Lobby is in this.
100%
Honestly, I WAS going to vote #1 for almost everything, but H&M is legit mid. Like, if I need an outfit in a pinch, that's inexpensive, in-style and cute for one evening I'm going there, Rainbow, 5,6,7, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Target and Ross. Not necessarily in that order. I might even try Walmart, but that's a LAST resort.
If I'm shopping for nice, going to last clothing, I sure the fuck am not going to any of those.
Besides Hobby Lobby and Walmart, what are some of the other shitty retailers y’all can think of? I posted in the first one Dirt Cheap and all the crappy Dollar Stores. Wal-Mart as well and Home Depot is shit. Had it not closed for good, Tuesday Morning is down there too as would be K-Mart. I actually don’t like Target though lots of people shop there.
It’s a blind survivor so we have to be cognizant of that and keep some lower spots open.
if Goodwill comes up, I'm gonna have some choice words.
We have this one Goodwill, we call it the rich Goodwill. But fuck it's nice, but it's twice as much as the other Goodwills. Which are so overpriced now also.
But this location, they carry thousands dollar beaded dresses (I've seen amazing wedding dresses there) that they sell for $100. I'm good at finding name brand shit, and they have it for like $30. Which is expensive AF for a thrift store. It's insane. Goodwill isn't supposed to be like that.
I used to really like Target, but they closed the one in Macon, and now the closest one is in Warner Robins. Last time we went, the store was a total mess, nothing where it was supposed to be, and the checkout lines were crazy long. Anything we want from Target is probably available from Amazon with less hassle and a better variety of options. I hate that I use Amazon so much, but at this point, Target is definitely not worth the drive for the quality of products and experience.

Isn’t the thing about Goodwill supposed to be that it’s more about creating jobs, helping people get into the workforce than it is about selling low cost items?

and they barely do that. They started taking all the good stuff and listing it online. It’s a giant eBay store now for anything worthwhile. Like 10% of goodwill stores are good. The rest are nothing more than a place that might take some old clothes or trinkets.
