Isn’t the thing about Goodwill supposed to be that it’s more about creating jobs, helping people get into the workforce than it is about selling low cost items?
and they barely do that. They started taking all the good stuff and listing it online. It’s a giant eBay store now for anything worthwhile. Like 10% of goodwill stores are good. The rest are nothing more than a place that might take some old clothes or trinkets.
We only have that one good one and it's out in BFE (Kenner bruh), the rest are terrible.

I've seen people post stuff at goodwill that's marked UP from the original price tag that's still attached lol
It’s ignorant too. But those ironic MAGA anti-Norse voters are typically hypocritical. They don’t know what it is and assume the worst. They wear bright orange makeup.

its only been in the last or two too. As someone who loves thrifting, I’ve just stopped going. Local places are better in every way. Better causes, chiller atmosphere, they don’t take out the good shit to sell online.
The bins used to be good, just buy by the pound and sort through piles but even they’ve been taken over by hyper aggressive resellers who just camp out all day and purposefully annoy people to get them to leave.

Jesse wtf are you talking about
I was agreeing with you and challenging the 4 voters that went for20 that they probably didn’t even know what H&M is and so voted it last when that was as you said laughable. Also this Apple Pie Gelato is dank as fuck
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
REI, Macy, Belk, Dillards, wouldn’t mind a Best Buy, Target 1 is ok, 2nd and Charles 👀
These are only going to be national companies. Never heard of Dillards, Belk, or Charles.
Dillard's, Inc. is an American department store chain with approximately 267 stores in 29 states and headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. Currently, the largest number of stores are located in Texas with 57 and Florida with 42. The company also has stores in 27 more states; however, it is absent from the Northeast (Washington, D.C., and northward), most of the Upper Midwest (particularly Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota), and most of the West Coast, aside from three stores in California.

What they said about Dillards. They have decent seasonal sale racks. It used to be a little more upscale than it is now. They still carry high-end brands, but it's not as good as say a Macy's but it's better than Sears or J.C. Penny.
They have a Belk by my house in Florida. It's okay but kind of a step down from Dillard's toward like a J.C. Penny's. I've walked through it a few times but never found anything I was interested in buying. I don't know Charles.

DC and northward is a decent chunk of the population to not have one and 2/5 are in two states?

Cook Out was in Drive-Thru Survivor, and it's only in 10 states.

We have a few good local ones (red white and blue, thrift city) but the problem is that there's a lot on online retail shoppers that scour them. Then they'll set up during the neighborhood garage sales weekends and literally sell them at jacked up prices. They sell online also and one particular group actually has a consignment store here in town. 🫤
