Back when I was working at Fye, I was sitting outside on a break with the manager from Victoria’s Secret. She was telling me how the the stock person had no-called/no-showed that day and she didn’t have a back-up to ask. I told her that she should give me a call and I could help and laughed.
That’s how I started working at Victoria’s Secret. I worked in the back and only brought boxes of stuff out for the girls to stock up-front. I don’t embarrass easy and blush even less. Those girls made me blush daily. It was a game and I lost every time.
VS is horrible these days but used to be the go-to for a lot of women. For that (and the blushing), I’ll give it a 16.

I worked at fye for a while too. It was actually a Camelot when I started. It went downhill when FYE took over.

Lmao. I got fired. My ties were too small and I argued about what genera bands belonged in. I also only did window displays for Metal artists that no one cared about.

Our store was cool. We played whatever we wanted. But FYE had all this corporate bullshit that they tried to make us do. That’s where I discovered Portishead, Massive Attack and QOTSA and where I developed my hatred of Linkin Park (I’m over that now).

Fun facts:
They went through the trouble of finding out what songs were on the playlist at this club during this timeframe to include in the scene.
In the book, which supposedly mirrors actual events, the VS model is Mark's date, not Sean's. She goes home with him and Eduardo is left to wonder how the night went.
The story about the Victoria's Secret founder jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge is true.

I’m on 13 because it’s the only option in the bottom half with any substantial number of votes on it other than 20, which I’m still reserving at this point. Even if Hobby Lobby isn’t on here, I’m pretty sure there are worse stores than Victoria’s Secret. Or maybe not. I don’t think I’ve been in a Victoria’s Secret in at least a couple of decades.
Ugh. Hobby Lobby is terrible. It's such a shame because they have the best craft selection and their sales are usually top notch.
It's so terrible that something so good is so evil. 🫤
I'm not a crafty person, so I don't know
Is Michael's that much worse?
Because I don't shop at Hobby Lobby, I tend to go to both Joann's and Michael's for my crafting needs. Sometimes the only place that has what you need is Hobby Lobby, which means I have to try to find it online, or hate myself if I can't.

I would move from 20 to 13 if I knew Hobby Lobby was on here.

I’ve historically been much more of a Joann shopper over Michael’s. I think of Joann as having a larger fabric selection, but I’m not sure if that’s justified. I’ve also always known of a Joann that was convenient to me whereas I haven’t always been aware of a nearby Michael’s. I do a lot of my crafty shopping online, though.

Joann's way closer to me. It's currently crafting season here now. I'll order online, but sometimes I need something and have to go. Also for parade throws, sometimes I need the inspiration of actually walking through aisles. Or I ran out of something and need it immediately.

For sure, sometimes I have to go there. I had to go to Joann recently because I didn’t have the right color thread.

There was a time their angels got high television ratings. And who among us guys, non-binaries and lesbians didn’t get laid after bringing home a wrapped Victorias Secret gift or gifts. I know from being a dad they had cotton drawers and bras that helped revolutionize comfort. So while flawed, they aren’t a 20 vote. For anyone who can’t think of at least one worse retailer, you probably should up the medication.
there are a lot of retailers left who are worse but VS is objectively bad on a variety of levels. I landed on 13, but I really think you guys fucked up with O'Reilly and we should all just agree to swap VS and O'Reilly in the final rankings
