Whatever Macy's does, isn't what I would consider a parade. Floaty are the furthest thing in my head when I think of a parade.
Fun side story, NOLA tried to do floaty things in a Christmas parade recently (within last few years), the best images were of Rudolph doing what one could only consider suicide. Apparently we have too much humidity to support such a silly idea.

Obviously things are relative, but Macy's is what I think of when I think parade.
