Me? I don’t enjoy faygo or knockoff shit. Hobby Lobby should get 20 so I’m going 18.
That’s not really what the store is. Outside it stocking mostly shit that’s bad for you the problem isn’t really with its stock. It’s basically just a modern general store with some of the same brands you’d get anywhere.
Also, the discount prices aren’t all that special.

I’ve only been in a few of those dollar general dollar tree and whatever that other one is so I don’t know the difference between them or if there is one. I saw a bunch of bad for you snack products and off brand soft drinks but I guess they have regular brands too since I believe you. What’s the down side other than they don’t save you much money and there are too many of them - what Druid said?

For me it’s where I go if I need one or two things and don’t want to go in the grocery store. I don’t differentiate between Family Dollar or Dollar General. They’re the same thing.

I'll take you to Lenox before Massive Attack, we can get a pretzel
Did your parents take you to the fancy Phipps Plaza Santa?
no, I don't think I ever went to see a mall Santa. The only memory at a mall I had as a kid was this one that had a WWE booth where you can commentate over match footage and it would burn it onto a DVD. I think I held up the line spending 5m doing that and didn't end up buying the DVD.

this explains why you're so tragic
I was wise beyond my years as a child. I saw through the deceit, the lies, the corporate greed. At that age, I was concerned with more pressing and mature matters such as pretending to commentate a WWE game.

You could probably run that Oliver piece on most of these stores. Dollar General thrives in poor areas because it's frequently the only option there. They aren't creating food deserts, and it's weird to expect them to solve that problem. They're just condensed, shitty Wal-Marts located near poor people. The mom and pop grocery down the street isn't paying anyone $15/hr, either (if it ever even existed).
I don't think it's an inherently good and cool store, but it's silly to hate on DG for woke reasons when the other options are all retail chains. There's no ethical consumption at TJ Maxx, either.

Find me the tiktoks about birds shitting all over the TJ Maxx merch and the managers saying "did the birds steal anything tho"
