The first time I had a broken wrist, I went to the Walgreens to get my script. The doctor gave me Vicodin which I am allergic to, so he then called in a script for Percs. When I went to get my new script, they couldn't fill it but wouldn't tell me why. Then proceeded to tell me the insurance wouldn't fill it. So I asked to pay out of pocket. All this is occurring very slowly and there is a crowd gathering. Eventually all the employees are back there since I am in pain, being a little loud and they won't fill my meds.
Finally I hear one of the other workers ask what is going on, and she says, she is trying to gets pills because she is a junkie. I fucking lost it. I was like I have a broken wrist, WTF. They proceed to finally tell me that since I picked up the vicodin, I can't get the percs. I told them I would give back all the vicodin's I am allergic, that is why my doctor put in the new script. And they just continued to accuse me of just trying to get pills for my addiction. I ended up going to CVS, who called my doctor and the insurance company, got it straightened out and got me the correct medicine. I have never gone back for prescriptions. They are the fucking worst. I would give them #20 if I could. Even if it meant that Hobby Lobby would have been even higher.
Walgreens is a non-factor around here. There's 10 CVS for every 1 Walgreens, and the 1 is deserted.
My insurance one year however, it was cheaper to get my happy pills from Walgreens. On 30 day refills instead of 90. And then they gave me 90 day fills anyway.
