Is there really no boxing thread? Post anything boxing-related here then.
Anyway, we're hours away from the fight of the century , Jake Paul vs 58 year-old Mike Tyson. If you say you want to be considered a good, legitimate boxer, the best thing to do is probably beat up a bunch of non-boxers, especially ones who are smaller than you, and fight a guy more than twice your age who hasn't fought in nearly two decades, I guess.
The opener on the card is a crumby fight. We're through 4 of 6 rounds, and this Nunes guy looks like a joke of a fighter. Just checked his record, and he's had one whole professional fight, so this is some social media BS, not a real boxing match. Goyat looks like a very mediocre but real fighter and is dominating on points. No power, but he's making Nunes looke like the clown he is.

That better be scored 60-54 or the judges need never to work again in boxing. And as much as Goyat dominated (he should have), he looked weak and would get slaughtered by any halfway decent boxer at 165 pounds on the international stage.

And then during the Ramos vs Barrios, which was excellent, Netflix became unusable for me. The Roku app kept failing to connect, despite me reinstalling it and rebooting my whole house. A browser stream on my laptop was awful. This was a Netflix problem, not a my shit problem, because literally everything else worked fine here, and generally always does. Not sure if it's just some bad luck here, but has Netflix done big live events much? The Serrano vs Taylor fight was great, from what I saw, but I missed the finish because I get better pirate pirate PPV streams from Kodi addons.

I was literally going to comment that this has been the worst live sports streaming event for me in probably 5 or 6 years. Constant buffering and I’m currently staring at some non-hd fuzzy shit.
And that’s why people hate boxing. Fight of the year gets ruined with a terrible decision. Serrano got robbed. What a joke.
Oh my wow. WTF? I missed the end because of Netflix issues, but from the post fight stuff I saw, it sounded like Serrano won, and she absolutely should have. Shocking to see that she got robbed like that. Taylor had her moments but even that nasty cut shouldn't have made it that close. Unanimously 95-94, even with Katie getting a point taken away? Come on!

Glad it wasn't just me, I guess. It has been terrible, low-res, pixilated BS at times, and complete hangs at others.
I was just as excited to see Tyson kick his ass as everyone else, really thinking it was going to happen.
As soon as he walked to the ring, it hits you in the face that Tyson is fucking 58. He’s not some freak of science that didn’t age. He’s not senior citizen Mike from breaking bad still kicking ass. His legs are gone. His knees are 58. He was completely gassed after 3 rounds.
There is absolutely no reason this should ever happen again. We are all a bunch of suckers

Some of the training vids look great for Mike and he’s just got insane aura. So I think Jake took a minute to realize he was fighting a senior citizen. Once he realized he was in control, I think he basically decided to not knock him out. Not rigged or anything just dont think he wanted to go balls to the walls with a 58 year old.
