my rv has decided not to make the trip w /me(mechanical problems) .... so, can i use my rv pass for my pick-up truck? i have a tent that fits over the bed of my truck so i'm kinda an rv. also, by definition in the info guide an rv is defined as any vehicle that is longer, ider OR taller than a 16 passenger van. my truck is longer and wider, though not taller as near as i can figure. i'd like to have a larger camp site so i'm not right on top of my neighbors. any info would be appreciated.......boy am i getting antsy.....this is going to be a great time!!!
"An RV is defined as any vehicle larger either in length, width or height than a normal sixteen (16) passenger van. All oversized vehicles, campers that are towed and busses are considered RV's. NO BOX TRUCKS WILL BE ALLOWED!"
that's what i read "larger either in length, width or height" and my truck IS larger in length and width than a normal sixteen (16) passenger van. what was the long answer?
You should have no problem. My wife and I purchased our tickets on ebay last year and also received an rv pass with the purchase. We set up our tent in the rv section with no problem (we had considerable more than the previous year).
yeah, but its been a couple weeks and i haven't heard back from them yet
Mail them again and note that this is your second attempt at trying to reach them. That said, if they think your question can be answered by the "rules" posted on the site, they generally won't respond. So take that for what it's worth!
why would you want to set up next to rv's you will hear their generators all night
Exactly. Our group has an extra RV pass as well. We're skipping the RV and we rented a 16 passenger van. We thought about trying to camp with the RV's, but yeah, the generators would be a bitch.
we were lucky generators weren't too bad, and the extra space was great. In 04 we barely had room to get out of our tent (I think that was the largest croud they have had). It didn't seem as packed in anywhere last year.
i didn't even think of generator noise---- my rv broke down and i have an rv pass so i thought having more room would be nice---- i have a 10x12 shade canopy and didnt think id have enough room at the park and camp spot--and my truck is pretty big(supercrew cab) ------anyway...thanks for all the input...this is a very cool board --ive gotten alot of great ideas here and the vibe is pervasive--cant wait to party w/ all you crazy roo'ers
