Screw the heat. That's why I rented an RV this year. Referring to what the guy said about working on a tar rook with your maintenance uniform on. I've done both and it's almost identical to that heat.
Being from MA....and moving to TN...I can tell you that it's crazy hot. The humidity sucks. I've been here 9 years and I'm still not used to this heat. I'm not too excited about being in the heat all weekend long. I'm going to wear a hat...some serious sunblock...and drink as much water as possible. Usually...in June...the heat stays in the 90's. Unless we all get lucky....with a few 80 degree days....then 90 is what I'd be looking forward to. Good luck to all not used to humidity!
It's been in the late 80's/early 90's here in Memphis. Not sure how much different it is in Manchester, thought I can't imagine it being a huge difference.
If you guys think it's hot in June, just stay until August. . .
last year manchester was a good 5 degrees cooler than memphis right around the time of roo. also, there was a storm a-brewing that weekend, so i don't know what that has to do with anything

The temputure wasn't too bad at all last year. Saturday was even a little cool. 2 years ago... hot as balls. So, I guess it's hit or miss. Expect rain, expect it to be hot at some point.
I dont know how bad TN will be, but I imagine pretty tough! I live in Florida on the gulf coast and it gets pretty warm. We do get some offshore breeze which definitely helps, but the humidity and heat are both up there. Its been getting pretty unbearbly hot here lately with every day upper 80s and 90s. Humidity gets up there at night and it gets quite stuffy. I think Im fairly used to it by now, although it never is fun. Virginia summers definitely used to seem milder, especially at night. Sunscreen, shade, and clothes that breathe are major neccesities.

I'm no weather expert, but I've always been fascinated by thinking I know something about it. The only way I can see that it'd get that cold is if a cold front came through right before roo. This is possibly the reason they predict storms before roo as they usually lead a cold front.
I'm looking at the national map loop on intellicast (http://intellicast.com/IcastPage/LoadPage.aspx?loc=usa&seg=LocalWeather&prodgrp=CurrentWeather&product=SurfaceAnalysisLoop&prodnav=none>
It appears that there will be a cold front moving through TN in a few days, but there seems to be sort of a void in the days following in the northwest of the country. It's possible another cold front could come into the northwest of the country near the end of the week and take it's time working its way to TN on Wednesday bringing storms and cool weather for roo.
I know it's a longshot, but it'd be so nice if it happened.

i would rather it be hot than muddy.
If it was just the Tennessee sun all day and night for 4 days I would not be a very happy camper! The constant sun can be even worse, in my opinion, than the mud. I'm hoping for sunshine, breeze, and an occassional rain to cool us down each afternoon. And if the weather doesn't cooperate with me then oh well because its BONNAROO

obviously there are some limits to that statement..it all depends on the severity of the heat/mud..but given the choice of the heat from roo 04 or the mud from coventry id take the heat.
but in a perfect world it would be reasonable temps/humidity and a quick shower a day to cool things off
I will say this.....so far in Tennessee...it's been pretty mild. We've only had 2 or 3 really hot days... those weren't that bad compared to how it gets here later in the summer. I just checked on the local weather here and it's saying this coming monday will be 88 and partly cloudy and/or sunny depending on how you look at it. The temperature is rising a little everyday throughout this week. The Farmers Almanac reads: "The summer season will start cool, with June temperatures four to five degrees below normal, on average, and below-normal temperatures in early July." So far...that's pretty accurate. The temperatures have been below normal. I'm really hoping for some mild temps....obviously...
OK, I know it's an advance forecast of questionable reliability, but Intellicast now has a forecast up that goes through Thursday. They're calling for a high of 86 and a low of 69 on Thursday with a dry week leading up to roo and scattered storms on Wednesday and Thursday (more likely on Thursday)...
I don't! That sounds like graet weather. As long as "chance of rain" dosen't mean constant downpours (as it sometimes does with those forecasts) it sounds nice. Not too hot at all, and not too much rain. It seems about all we can ask for

The pattern for most of this spring has been an upper level low over the Great Lakes. This is the reason the eastern half of the country has experienced the cooler than normal weather so far (storm systems rotate around it bring cool air from Canada). As long as this pattern holds for another couple of weeks, we should have weather that is at least tolerable during the day and somewhat cool at night (mid 50's). Let's all hope so.
Thanks for the tip. I've been a web developer for the last 6 years but never used the custom syntax of this board. I would say it would make life much easier if they would just allow html tags.
