Okay, so I read on the official Bonnaroo Info Guide that bands will not be allowed to play in the camping area. Does that mean that I will not be able to bring my guitar/mandolin/accordion? I was hoping to jam with some people.
Only if you promise not to play "Lady of Spain" on the accordian.
aww darn.. i was hoping to hear that!!! not really though. also, kets add in the entire weird al yankovic catalog to the do not play list. just to preserve sanity, you know?
but if someone starts playing "beer barrel polka", i wont object. heh.
"Man and his deed are two distinct things...a good deed should call forth approbation a a wicked deed disapprobation, the doer of the deed, whether good or wicked, always deserves respect or pity as the case may be. 'Hate the sin and not the sinner' is a precept which, though easy enough to understand, is rarely practicsed (sic), and that is why the poison of hatred spreads in the world." -Ghandi
3/5 ths of my band Jango MOnkey will be in attendance, and plan to play throughout the weekend in camping/rv area (as time and circumstances permit). Hope some of you will jam with us.
Jango Monkey is an Atlanta jamband...known for orginal "crafty songfocused jam rock" in the style of phish, and moe...with elements of Beatles, Beck, and PinkFloyd.
We also play some covers: Phish, Dead, moe, Panic, Traffic, Zevon, Escovedo, Beck, Floyd...etc.
I'd love to bring some instruments but all of mine require power Plus, I'm sure sensative synths probably wouldn't do well at roo. It's a shame too. I'm sure I could have lots of fun toying with people in the camping area with a sampler... oh well. I guess bring on the drum circles.
I will setup one rule (with zero authority whatsoever)... If you are planning on bringing your guitar but don't know any song other than stairway to heaven, DON'T
Definately bringing my drum, last year my car was too packed, but i am looking forward to filling the air with beats and hope to find others to play with,
