The guide says only "small" personal hand held cameras and disposables are allowed in the Concert areas. It also says that no Professional cameras would be allowed and went on to say "cameras without extra lenses". Does anybody know what they are calling professional cameras? What about a nice digital a fixed lense. I have a 2x lense that attaches to the front but it is not at all like a 35mm. If they determine that you are taking in too much camera, will they just send you back to your tent or take it away?
Also, how detailed do they get when searching your belongings at the entrance to the stage areas. Would they search you for lenses, lense filters, etc? Surely they dont go through everything you have. If they did, how would people sneak their drugs in?

They WILL NOT take your camera. Worst they'll do is send you to the back of the line. I think you should be fine though. Its not really cameras that "could be" professional cameras as much as cameras that are DEFINATELY professionals that they will care about. Like with everything else at Roo, if you ahve a problem with one of the security gates, just go find another one

I am a pro photographer and pretty upset that i cant bring my digital camera. but i will bring some disposable film cameras. Typically, most concerts consider a camera a pro camera if it has an interchangable lens system.
did you get a press pass last year? My friend has one, I don't. I have to drive her to the radio station to pick it up..it's exit 105 off 24, so on the way down. Do you know if this will take a lot of extra time?

is the pickup spot fantasy 101.5? if so, it's about 10 - 15 minutes down the road off 105. traffic for roo may make it a few minutes longer, but i wouldn't get too wound up about it.
i applied for a photography pass, but they said there were a limited number of credentials... blah blah. ill be taking my camera anyway.
yeah, it's at the radio station. It's good to know it's not TOO far away! I ended up taking the whole day Wednesday off anyways so I can be closer to TN when I continue my drive down Thursday morning.
