Informal Vending?

Informal vending happens all over the place and unless you're blatantly peddling something highly illegal (a lot of people still get away with it though), there's really no chance at all of anybody giving you grief. There's a main "shakedown street" along the camping only area and Centeroo, but mini-shakedowns sprout up in most of the camping areas.

you can sell water to me for $1 a bottle.

At the last Phish show at Deer Creek me and my friend set up shop right at the end of shakedown and sold whiskey and peanut butter sandwiches. It was not a good seller but it was a whole lot of fun. We made most of our money at the very end right before the show started, since everyone walked by to get to the gates, and alot of people went for the shot of whiskey just before entering the venue where it would be $6.00 beers.

hey now.... why's it bad karma to sell cigs, but not beer?

beer ruins your liver, you know..

and in any case, I sell cigs at festivals sometimes, and i'm a smoker too... is it still bad karma if you're one of the addicted?

i used to smoke em then switched to marlboro 27s and then to cheeba only almost 3 weeks ago now!

My friend is bringing homemade wine for selling. She has been making it for years and I think she will be selling it by the bottle or by the glass. I think she made 40 bottles to sell at like $20 each so I guess she will have roo paid for if she can pull it off. My other friend wants to make bloody mary's to sell but I think it just takes up too much time. I would rather be buying then selling, it just seems I would miss too much music
