Well I will probally be driving up but im still not sure where I want to camp. Is there a difference between the camp site they give you or the tent only area? Besides the fact that tent only is first come first serve.
If you camp by your car you really don't have a choice - you camp where they direct you on your way in. Tent only is guaranteed to be close to centeroo, but you can't have your car next to you - and you've got to carry yourstuff from wherever they park you to the tent only area. Your call -
Can be anywhere from 2-30+ minute walk. It all depends on where they park you (which you don't really have any control over and doesn't really seem to corralate to arrival time).

i'm def going wiht camping only because it feels like more of an adventure to not be near your car. but i LOVE campng and the outdoors so it is your call
There is no CAMPING ONLY LOT.....They are going to park you as if you were camping next to your car or not. I love the idea of this camping only area, but wish they'd let you drop your gear off then go park. You could seriously be a 45+ min walk away from the camping only area.

i think they do it that way on purpose to dissuade too many people from camping in the tent only area. because if it were super convenient, practically everyone with a car would camp that close to centeroo.
as it stands now, it's a good camping spot for: people coming in at separate times to be able to meet up, people coming to roo with no car, people coming in and meeting up in a BIG group (like inforoo!) and people that are willing to huff their gear a ways. i think they figure if you want to get in there badly enough, you will, but they don't want to make it so convenient that it no longer serves its purpose.
