looking forward to bonnaroo. never been, and i'm really excited. i've got some logistics questions though.
i'm flying into nashville and arriving friday afternoon. my flight leaves sunday at about 8 pm. i know i'm going to end up missing out on a lot of things. it stinks, but work is work...
what are my best options for getting into the festival grounds and leaving? the airport shuttle doesn't leave till monday morning which is too late for me (obviously). should i take a taxi? in order to make that sunday night flight, when am i going to have to actually leave the festival grounds? what's the best way to do that? more taxi? bus, perhaps?
what kind of taxi fare am i looking at? what is the wait in line going to be at those times?
have you checked out renting a small cheap car instead? it might be less $ since its only 2 days than taking the shuttle and then getting a taxi for that long of a drive back... www.orbitz.com lets you search all the different rental place rates and availability
the airport shuttle says it takes 1:45 to get to Roo. A taxi, unless it has flat rates would be obscene. plus, it would probably be a pain in the ass to coordinate a pickup. You're probably better off getting a rental car.
Yeah you can get a rental car on the weekends for like $19 a day. That would be a LOT cheaper then a shuttle or taxi....Call around and see what the best rate is and I am sure you can get a good price..
try [ftp]www.kayak.com[/ftp] for renting a car. I'm renting a car for 6 days while in TN and it's running me $206. So I'm sure a rental car would be a lot cheaper than trying to get a cab out of roo. Probably less of a headache as well.
I'm trying to leave for a flight at 8 on sunday as well.....still not sure how i'm going to get there. I can't rent a car, so it looks like a taxi would be the only way to go unless a friend is willing to drive. I know a cab service that said they would "give me a deal" for $120 i think. perhaps we could split if you're interested? as like a last resort thing...word.
