has anyone every used this? I'm afraid it will make me feel worse- adding stuff to my hair/head that I can't rinse off. I hate that greasy feeling along my hairline and forehead...

I'd steer clear. We sell No-Rinse Shampoo at the hospital gift shop where I work and i've overheard many of the patients saying that it's complete crap and makes your hair feel super gross.

i was thinking if my hair gets REALLY funky to use a bucket or a water bottle at the rinse station to wet it, then dab some dr bronners on my scalp, rub it in, and rinse
better than nothing
i can't imagine something you put on and don't rinse off can make your hair feel less greazy
last year we used no-rinse shampoo (white bottle, blue writing, NASA approved) and it was fine. it is weird as hell, but it did not make my head itch or feel dry.
I would imagine that the stuff is very similiar to the waterless shampoo we use on animals at the vet clinic I work at. I would think it would feel really gross on an already dirty head. It's possible to wash your hair at the water stations.
The white bottle with blue writing NASA approved stuff is "No Rinse Shampoo" by No Rinse Laboratories (Springboro, Ohio). they sell it at Amazon.com but I don't know where else. I've used it a number of times and it does work. I'm bringing some but plan on getting my hair cut Tuesday.
Like dozer's intention, I got a cut yesterday which should help relieve some of that scalpal funk. Otherwise, for a short haired person, a little shampoo and a few splashes of water are just fine. Still, the past couple of years I've done nothing but rinse my hair a bit (maybe?!) and I was fine. This year though, I'm flying on my benefits which dictate that I can't look like a wreck, so I might give my head a scrub at some point.

I bought three-one gallon bottles of water in addition to a case of regular water bottles for the purpose of washing/brushing teeth. I didn't think of the mud it would create around my site though, do you think this would be a problem?
Baby powder is your best friend. Just a few puffs on your part (or wherever its greasiest) and brush it in. It really absorbs a lot of the greasiness and makes your hair smell better. My hair is pretty dry so I only wash it somtimes up to once a week and I always use this technique.
