So how is everyone riding this year? I know people are coming from all over the country and its gonna be quite a long drive for some of us. I have about 10-11 hours or so. What are you guys planning on doing in order to pass the time on the long trip?
My buddy is driving his van out there and he's removing the middle seats so we have an open area between the backseat and driver/passenger. We're probably gonna put some blankets down and put some of our stuff in there. He's got a drop down TV so I'm sure we'll be busting out some PS2 action along the way too. Other than that, just lounge.

We're taking our Jeep Liberty, we'll be lucky to get all the stuff in the back but at least I bought a inverter for using the laptop (we have full seasons of family guy, the simpsons, and that 70s show).
Jeep Libertys aren't that bad I guess, good sound system!
taking my black element. i might have to flip up or take out one or both of the back seats to make some room, but she's great for road trippin'! and just like the jeep liberty, my baby's got a sweet sound system and the i-pod to keep us going for the whole trip without any repeats!
goin with 7 other people in a 16 passenger van. I got a portable dvd player a few weeks ago, and I plan on utilizing it to the fullest extent possible. I packed a case full of dvd's, so I should be good.

I too took my Element last year -- it was pretty ideal for the fest. I flipped up both seats and we crammed way too much stuff in there. The suicide doors also allowed for some crude form of privacy when we were pissing in our designated piss bucket.
This year, my buddy's picking me up in St. Louis and we're driving in his Saturn. I'm not going to be as ridiculously prepared this year as the last two, so I'm sure we'll be fine on room.
I'm normally not one for gas guzzling, but dad's letting me borrow his jeep, and the back seat comes out. So I'll be able to pack better, and take the top down while waiting in traffic. At least it'll be more comfortable than my saturn.
it's 14 1/2 hours from here. but just got a hyndai santa fe,four door, lots of room. cruise and air cond. this year! and my wife just today gave me sirius radio for the ride. jam on channel all the way. bonnarooooo
There's 4 of us and at the moment we're unsure whether we'll be taking one or two cars, due to camping space considerations. We're probably looking at a 96 Grand Prix and either some type of newer dodge convertible or a mini van. After we do a dry run of setting up camp at my house, we'll decide on transport.
Were borrowing my parents mini-van and its going to be cramped as hell with six people... We have to remove one of the seats just to fit the cooler and so there will be no room for anyone. Did the same thing last year with 5 and it was a tight fit.

My hubby & I are going in our '05 Chevy 4x4 crew cab long bed(HUGE) pick up towing a 32 ft fifth wheel. We have about 12 hours of driving, over 660 miles each way, to look forward to. I will be knitting hats, listening to the ipod and basically hanging out for the trip. Hopefully, really relaxing and getting ready for roo.
We are taking our new(used) Isuzu Trooper this year. 3 of us, 1 more then last year. I bought a roof top carrier to use this year. I think we are going to be loaded up....In many ways...I dont know how I am going to get everything in this thing....Tomorrow night we are packing the truck and leaving tuesday after work...Roo here we come

Awesome 5th wheel. That's a sweet rig.
Thanks, man. We just got it about 2 months ago just for festivals. We kept saying when we retired we would do it but that is some 20-25 years away. Finally, we said fuck it and we went out and got it. I am so excited to be going in this thing and we are really looking forward to Suwanee Sping fest and Magnolia fest coming up in Live Oak, FL. Great bands and beautiful place to see live shows. ;D
