looks like it's going to become a hurricane and it's projection isn't too far from Manchester. I would keep an eye on this puppy. Not freak anyone out, but I live in Miami and I can tell you that these "cones" can and usually are wrong. Especially this far in advance.
Although the weather forecast looks great right now, be prepared... we could see lots of rain.

Actually last year the hurricanes were a blessing for Bonnaroo. There were 3 off shore that caused a lot of damage and were not cool for some. But as for Bonnaroo its like they just sucked all of its weather away and left us with cool breezes and beautiful bonnaroo weather. I hope it is similar this year.
I just checked the weather forecasts at Intellicast and Weather.com for Manchester, TN and it's now looking like the prospect of rain has been pushed back from Saturday to Monday. That very well be caused by the hurricane sucking effect jason referred to.
It's looking to be solidly 90H/70L days with no rain according to the latest forecasts. Get ready to be hot and sticky.

Is there some other Bonnaroo that you were at where it didn't rain the whole time?
Cool breezes my left nut. I almost croaked because it was so damn hot.
Everyone else there was PRAYING for rain and 'cool breezes'.

I'll be honest...I don't remember a lot about Roo last year, but I do remember pretty nice weather after the first day. I mean sure it rained a little every day but it felt good from what I can remember. I almost died that thursday tryin to put up our shitty $14 wal-mart blue tarp shade tent. But I dont remember it being hot the other days.
if the storm does go way east, we could be looking at nice weather. well... HOT weather, anyway. you never know. sometimes, in miami, we get some really nice weather when a storm is near.
Actually, the pre-roo weather reports seem similar to last year, mostly sunny, low 90's. Last year wasn't that bad (I don't know if I'd go as far as to say "cool breezes", except when it was actually raining). It was the year before that was really insanely hot.
I live in Orlando and we are getting the storm now. It's going to be very weakened if manchester gets any of it and it should be just rain and wind just like last year.
It should be over by thursday though. It's been raining and we've been in tornado watch all day and the eye will be making landfall tomorrow in the morning.
Hopefull we won't have to drive through too much of it wednesday when we leave for manchester but like I said it should be fine by then.
It definitely poured during Jack Johnson, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The way the crowd screamed when he played Banana Pancakes was priceless. ("Can't you see that it's just rainin'... Ain't no need to go outside..") AHHHH, I can't wait. But I do hope we get some rain this year. I'll be prepared for anything, but a little rain to cool things down will be nice.
It was insanely hot upon arrival Thursday last year. It was a shock to the system going from the air conditioned car to that heat. My arm swelled up so much from the heat that I had to get my wristband replaced, they put it on too tight and once I left the air conditioning it was cutting into my arm. Sucky.
Rain gods please grace Bonnaroo with your presence.

Here's the link to Jack's show last year. It was an awesome set and one of my favorite memories from last year.

YOu have been smoten.
you must not have been in 04. compared to 04 last year was like spending a day in a cooler eating ice cream.
Hey thanks for that link! I just listened to the whole concert. The guy up in the tree last year was crazy, and the rain was wonderful then. Great show
I just went through "Alberto" on a cruise ship through the western carribean- its NASTY on a ship, but now Im home in Gainesville, Florida where it was projected to hit early this morning, and it was a nothing storm, just a little wind and rain. SO- I say there is nothing at all to worry about- I think it will break up before it has a chance to reach tennessee.
