This will be my first bonnaroo and i've decided to do it solo, and because of that i will be taking a greyhound and hoofing it to the farm. Now i've heard all sorts of stories about cars having to line up for hours upon hours, and hardcore searches and stuff, but i have heard little next to nothing about people w/o cars. My question is does this apply to those walking in? I'm arriving at about 8:50 am on thursday, but i'm not really sure if thats going to make much of a difference. so... a) are there really bad lines on foot? b) are people going to be tearing through your bags and such?
Seeing as its 2 days till i leave this is more of an afterthought than anything else, but it would be nice to have an idea of what i'm going to encounter. It would be great to hear from someone who came on foot previously, but any input is greatly appriciated
I can honestly say after two years (this being my third) I've NEVER seen a line for people walking up. I would expect some kind of search, though. Come to think of it, I've never even seen more than a few people walking up to the gates.
Im catching it in pittsburgh 12:10AM Thursday early mornnig / wendsday late night its a 16 hr ride down but when im in manchester it will be complete bliss.
