I know there is no campfires, but what about torches? It seems like a saw some last year, but i'm still not entirley sure if half of last year was real.
As far as I've seen they've been allowed. They're just big candles, and you can have candles. Sounds like you have more than enough common sense to handle them. Others on the board might disagree with me, but I think they would mostly be just to look cool - I have hardly found the bugs to much of an issue.
we've got a couple citronella candles, and so do the folks we're going with
plus i found some big citronella incense sticks, and i'm carting along a healthy heap of nag champa (and i'm pretty sure any kind of smoke like that will do something to keep the mosquitos away).
i thought torches would be really cool, but i'd rather not have to worry about knocking one over and sending the shantytown up in flames.
