was it just me or were the port a johns not as clean and kept up this year? i remember last year, the ones by my campsite were always clean and had toilet paper in them.
this year, i don't think any of the ones by my site had tp from thurs 11pm till friday afternoon. and most of them friday morning were disgusting.
I did a nice sit-down during Radiohead, had tp and wipes and a flashlight and reading material, had no problems, it was clean and comfy in there. Plus I used the wipes to clean the gooey mud off my crocs from that river of goo right in front of the potts.
I said before and I will say again, the porta-potties were quite acceptable.
my only complaint about the port a johns was that there wasnt a cluster closer to tent-only! last year I was spoiled only having to walk 100 feet, this year the walk seemed to get longer and longer, the more inebriated I got
Yep, same for me, a long way to wander for a whizz, but then again it was only maybe a 6 or 7 minute walk. Nowhere close to the most inconvenient part of my roo.
For whatever reason, I ran to the port-a-john on Thursday night, and it became like a running joke...every time I needed to pee, I would just take off running and pee and run back (usually with a headlamp on my head). I could make the whole trip in 3:30 minutes (with no line). I was camped in Happy Gilmore.
The running joke in our camp was if I had to use the bathroom the cleaning crew would be there. No lie like 1 out of 3 times they wouldn't be there. This trick only worked on the one near camp though. I guess clark griswald was spoiled cause they never got really bad from what I saw.
A little worse than last year but pretty clean all the same. I remember last year they got disgusting on Sunday, this year they stayed clean (or at least alright) all weekend.
The worst was one on Shakedown that the person had apparently pooped standing up....alllll over the seat. Wish I had my camera. Roo poos are so disgusting, next year I may make a coffee table book of different roo poos. Here we have the peebles, here's the mushy mush mush poo, and the steaming pile - left by the naked guy who just walked out.

^^^ gross....yeah I hear that. During Superjam(and whilst I was attempting to escape my head) I had an uncontrollable urge to take a duece. It's bad enough, in that state of mind, but I went to the first porta john and tried to wipe down the seat, but there was a big pile of sh!t on the seat. I almost threw up. I went to the next one, and the same friggin thing. 3rd time was the charm though.
I had a lot of luck going into centeroo in the morning for sinks/bathrooms. Because no one really went into centeroo until an hour or two after they got up, the facilities in centeroo were pristine and lineless in the morning. My tents were in tent only and camp R2D2 though, so I may have been more fortunate than others.
the camp i was at ( Camp Rocky? I never actually looked for myself) was right by the woods and there were two little paths made out one with a nice blanket for cover and someone actually made a little "ladies" sign. It was real nice at night.

Porta potties gross at Bonnaroo?? I dont know how many porta potties you peeps have been in but roo's are some of the nicest around... I've seen sh*t piled higher than the seat before with the urinal overflowing, Bonnaroo is luxury...
I was impressed with the conditions of the porta potties at roo. I expected them to be a lot dirtier. I always saw those trucks around the porta potties cleaning them out. I did notice, however, the smell was pretty foul on Sunday, but after 4 days that's expected.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I HATE using any toilet that is not my own at home, so does my daughter, so for us to both use them and be happy with them, you know they were good
