I'm curious about the already having tickets also. But am I coorect in that:
If you volunteer for Pre-event you get better campsite, free showers, shirt, etc and don't work during the event? Did someone also say volunteers get preferred seating at Big stages?

It said in my confirmation letter that if I already bought tickets I wouldn't be reimbursed...Yup, pre-fest gets free showers, one meal a day, and a shirt, and no working during the event -- which is sweet! I didn't hear about the preferred seating, but that would be an awesome bonus...
I sent in my Roo volunteer application and should hear back soon from them. I would rather volunteer during the fest. The clean vibes sounds like a big trash fest. Yuk!
Dani you're not the only one going solo! I am too. It is just easier to get around and not have to worry about losing your friends, etc. I guess it would be a little scary for a female to be alone esp at night. We'll look out for you!
Hello all! New to the forum, but just got my confirmation to volunteer at Roo. This is my 5th year at Roo but first to volunteer, so just looking to get an idea what it is like. How long do you have to work each day, do you get to pick your shifts, are there really showers available, ect. Also it looks like I will be volunteering solo so it would also be nice to get to know some other people who are volunteering. I will be vouluteering during the festival so if anyone else is volunteering during the fest, let me know. Take it easy!

I found out today I got picked to 'teer with Clean Vibes. For those of you looking to 'teer I would give them a try. They got back to me a little over 24 hours after I applied.
I'm almost sure that I will be staying the two extra days and cleaning up trash. Anyone staying with me?
I should be except Ive been having a lil trouble receiving confirmation on volunteering and havent received confirmation yet so im not for sure but a clean vibes person told me that they always need volutneers so I shoudl get a spot.

Does anyone know about how long it takes for Clean Vibes to get back to you after sending in a Volunteer application. It's been about 2 weeks since I sent mine in and I'm concerned about whether or not they received it. Do they let you know if you were not accepted? Thanks

I've been a 'roo volunteer for three years now. To answer some of the questions... The staff only camping is down in Pod 1...across the plank bridge. Is a far walk to Centeroo when you're a GA, but with the staff band there are shortcuts to be made :-) If you're a POD volunteer, you camp in one of the 11 Pods, near the info tent for that pod Depending on the job, you may....and that's a very big may....be able to pick your shift...usually 6hr or 8hr, but they go 24hrs/day so there's the potential to miss no music. I think that may have gotten it answered...anymore questions?

My friend was recently accepted and got the email the 26th. She applied about a week after I did, and I still have no confirmation. I sent an email to the annab lady about what's up, because I need to know soon if I need $250.
Hey everyone. I've been lurking here for a good while. Figued that I would let ya'll know that my girlfriend and I just sent in our deposits today for pre-volunteer shifts. In the e-mail confirmations they orignally sent out, I believe it said that check-in is on June 10th, and check-out is on June 14th. This being the case, does it mean we may be working the gates or situating the crowds on Thursday? I know that a lot of you are as clueless about the situation as I am! It would have been nice to have a little more information on the logistics of what we will be doing (it was hard to part ways with $250 each with faith that we will won't miss the shows), but regardless, I am pumped. Will we miss any of Thursday's early-bird music? Also, as far as the camping situation is concerned, just HOW close will we be able to get? Once the festival begins, can we stay in the spot that we originally set-up when volunteering?
Where will we be?
Wow. I have way too many questions. I guess many of them will be answered with time. The wait is tough though. Peace.

ewsc - Are you working the pre-fest, during, or post-fest? Once you sent in your deposit, how long did it take to get a reply? And... sorry to be nosy... but what else did the letter say? Thanks for the help!

haha its not a problem. I am working during the fest. I sent them my deposit and since I sent it from Columbia, SC it only took a couple days via UPS for it to get there. A couple days after it arrived in knoxville, I got an email saying I was confirmed, and that more info would come as they got it. If you have any questions at all, you can email them at volquestions@bonnaroo.com they got back to me in ~ a day or so with answers to anything I have asked. As soon as I get more info about anything I will post it.

Are there any volunteer coming from or driving through Dayton, OH? I'm meeting a friend down there, but she is coming from Connecticut and so I'm looking to share a ride!

so i got accepted, but haven't sent my money order yet (i've never sent one before & i'm sure i'll be super awkward when i go to western union or whatever to figure it out!) I wanted to wait 'til after i got back from my trip to florida to pay for it, but I got an e-mail yesterday saying spots are filling up fast!) i wish i could just give them a check and a promise it won't bounce if they end up having to cash it! haha!
