In '05 I flew into Nashville and took the airport shuttle arranged by Bonnaroo. I have to say it was a sweet arrangement: they had a desk in the baggage claim area at the airport where you got your wristband and welcome package. The bus came around I think every hour or so and took us straight into Roo by a back gate, dropping us right by the Camping Only section with no waiting or searches. The return was equally smooth and it all seemed to be a great deal for (if I remember right) $45.
Of course you have to carry your gear, that's not a problem if you already have a lightweight tent etc. and there are some real cheap tents these days on eBay or in retail stores.

yeah they did an AMAZING job with this, considering how many people were using it, and we got to the site much faster than i had expected! we had a mechanical problem with the first shuttle that came, but another one was there to whisk us away shortly, very smooth. was cool to hear everyone GO NUTS when the farm came into full view, much gasping and ooooohing and ahhhhhhhing and cheering ;D
