Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Having the car there seems nice. Everything is right there with you, but you're not guarnteed that you won't have to make a 30 min walk to centeroo :-(
Like everything in life. There are positives and negatives
My first year in '04 we tented it, '05 popup camper, and the last two we've taken an RV.......RV's are the way to go! AC to chill in when after a long day, pooper, stove/microwave and a bed make the trip that much more enjoyable. Gets you charged up for the next day!
i wish i could modify this poll, or even delete it in order to add create another with the RV and Day park options , didn't see a button for doing any of this with a poll thread, am i just over looking it?
i agree if i could afford an RV i'd take that. i'd love to go tent only and be so close to shakedown and centeroo, but every year we go with n00bs and they want to be by the car. so i'll probably end up car camping again
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I dunno if this really counts, but last year I worked for a vendor, and got to camp RIGHT BEHIND the Merchandise Tent in front of the arch. Worked four hours in the morning, then got the rest of the day to see shows, and I got to go in the vendor entrance. No check, no nothing.
I'd suggest a wagon, and get one with LARGE INFLATABLE RUBBER tires. I had a hard wheel hand truck last year and I got most everything on one trip, but dragging that thing across the farm was teh suk.

would pop up camper be car camping or RV? cause it's not an RV..but it's not a tent..
The 2006 info guide, which can be found on bonnaroo.com/2006 in the "info" tab states that all vehicles larger than a normal 16 passenger van are considered RV's. This includes trailers and campers that are towed by another vehicle. So yes, you will need to shell out the extra $50 for an RV pass and you will be parked with the RV's. On the upside, that area did seem to be rather spacious last year for your set-up.

Back on topic...we did GA last year and plan to go VIP this year. No matter where I end up camping I would always opt for the tent vs. a camper or RV. The tent just feels right at Bonnaroo. but we will likely have an elaborate shade canopy set-up.

We usually camp with our car. You can lock-up any valuables you might obtain in your trunk, wich is nice. Also, i'm kind of paranoid and like to know my car is ok. In '04, after the rain destroyed our tent and soaked our extra clothes, we slept in the car. It was dry and private enough for me to peel-off my wet, muddy clothes and relax.

i agree tent only is the best, something about getting as close as possible and not being right next to an automobile. ........ and wow, it seems like alot of inforoosters are going vip, viva la tent only!
